  1. This guide is terrific! I've had much good use of it when learning how to render. Anyway, I have a texture issue when rendering certain base plates. I use SR3D Builder for construction, then LDView and POV-Ray 3.7 for the rendering (as described in this guide). As you can see in the image attached I get a weird texture problem on the baseplates. Note the white/green "noise" around the edges of the pave and in the middle "island", and how the lines doesn't follow the edge of the green areas like it should or bend at the end of the road. It's like the actual road pattern has been mirrored or something... It is not supposed to look like this. Anyone who has experienced the same thing or has any ideas? I have drawn some arrows to point out what I mean:
  2. Thanks for the informative reply! Sounds promising, I'll surely be giving it a try! :)
  3. I have mostly only used SR3D Builder, and I really like it. It's simple and the parts align, rotate and snap wonderfully. It's very quick and easy to use. However the only thing missing really is the possibility to use flexible parts such as hoses, strings, chains etc. It's sad that it will (most likely) never be updated/edited... I'm considering moving over to LDCad, but as I've read some of the posts, some people say the parts doesn't rotate/align as preferred. How easy is the program to work with? And how well does the editing of flexible parts work?
  4. A really awesome set! I remember getting this as well when I was young. Great review! :)
  5. That's just awesome! A big thank you, Darats! :)
  6. Thank you for the reply! Yes, I will investigate and search around, cause there must have been parts I got from somewhere else or so.
  7. Hello! I recently had to perform a clean install of my digital Lego softwares, and to render my creations I use LDView along with POV-Ray. As you may know these applications are in need of a parts library (LGEO) with include files (.inc) to properly render all the parts. The site hosting the LGEO in particular - http://www.digitalbricks.org/lgeo.html - has been down for some time now. I have tried the All-In-One Installer provided on the LDraw website, but the LGEO parts library included doesn't seem to be complete; there are still parts missing. So my question is if there's anyone out there who has the library from Digitalbricks and would be willing to share it? The one I have currently stands at about 2136 parts. Many thanks, Jonas
  8. Great, I'll be patient :)
  9. Awesome job!!! Could I make a request for a part that doesn't seem to exist (if there's to be any updates of your library, that is)? It is part "4867 Tail Plane" (see link http://brickset.com/parts/4188568) I can't seem to find it anywhere, so chances are that it doesn't exist as an include file for the LGEO library yet.
