I spaced my EM night build over 3 nights; was an effort not to simply push through and complete it in a single go. Very enjoyable build.

Hello all, just a quick query on the book "Getting started with LEGO Trains". The writers web site is down, and Amazon lists it for $150+. Is it worth tracking down whilst patiently awaiting the next railbricks?

So that's what the staff at Carindale were talking about. Sadly I didn't receive any in the mail. Carindale had 3 Emerald nights left (full price, 149), but loganholme has 4 Fire Brigades. As somebody else mentioned, 30% sale with extra bits off, leaving it @ $153. Very nice. Well that should be my retail purchases done until the Maresk train comes out, and the new modular building.

Did anybody find out when the 30% sale ends? I just called one of my local stores (about an hour away) and the lovely individual I spoke to checked up stock availability, but unfortunately didn't actually work in toys. Long story short, they didn't know if the 30% sale was on. I have my eye(s) on both emerald and fire brigade; would be good to get them at a cheap cheap price.

The train is minifig scale, whilst the boat isn't. Irrespective, it would be a great combined set, just need a new harbour crane.

IMHO a hospital modular would have two be twice the size of GG/CC. A corner piece and a middle section, allowing wards and operating theatres on the the straight section. Leaving the ER entrance, stairs/lifts and doctors rooms for the corner segment. However, I do suspect it will be a post office; whilst I like the idea of a pet store, I can't visualise it.

Wow, it's quite 'manly', but still very suitable. I like the shared bogey, I may modify my existing one to see what it looks like in that mode.

I put in an order for Green Grocer today. Came very close to adding Fire Brigade, but I figured it was still available in shops, and thus could wait.

Damn I only purchased my Grand Emporium on Friday for $250 :( The fire brigade however isn't that much of a special when it was retailing normally (over the last month) for $249

I grabbed the other half the Imperial Flagship for Christmas, "us" the Grand Emporium for later, my father the city crawler (again Chrissy), and myself the city construction bulldozer. That last one was an unexpected find.
