  1. As others have mentioned, that bowler is incredible. They even look like they're made of felt.
  2. The S3 mummy is cooler looking than I thought. I wish that hadn't used brilliant white for the color though. Is the mummy sending his bandages in to be cleaned and bleached?
  3. That roof is just about perfect. The whole car has a great shape to it. I agree, removing the studs would improve the look quite a lot.
  4. That fisherman's beard works perfectly for Santa. Hopefully some of the S3 figs show up around me before too long. Great vig!

    MOC: Cafe

I love the layout of the windows on the second floor. It reminds me of something you'd see on a modern college campus. Really cool design!
  6. I really love that jukebox. Lots of great little details in this MOC.
  7. Hah, I love some of the little details here. My favorite is the attack dog chained to the front porch.
  8. I see nothing wrong with this. The German army was not entirely composed of Nazis, nor were all the SS in charge of concentration camps. These are just historically accurate figures catered to adults.
  9. I watched a show on the history channel not to long ago about the evolution of combat aircraft. In the first World War, planes starts as recon tools only, but before too long pilots were taking pot shots at each other with their pistols. Soon enough they were mounting machine guns. They tried mounting them out on the wings, but it was difficult for the pilots to aim them, so they had to go behind the prop. The first few attempts were pretty disastrous, with the prop getting shredded. They tried adding steel plates to the prop blade to shield it from the fire, but that was dangerous as well. The interrupter gear simple disengaged the machine guns whenever the prop blade's rotation would pass it in front of the guns. From what they showed on the documentary, it was a fairly simple device, but quite ingenious. Here's the Wikipedia page if anyone's interested.
  10. Nicely done; I really like the color scheme here. And on a related note, I miss those old-style motorcycles. I used to have a handful, but when I retrieved my old collection from my parents' house a couple years ago they were all gone. Ah well.
  11. God I'd love that. Halloween is easily my favorite holiday, and I'd love to see some real themed sets from TLG.
  12. Awesome MOC and a great story. I really like that snowy tree.
  13. I was just going to say this. It's perfect for The Brother's Brick contest!
  14. Two winners chosen so far, with 23 left to go. I'm positive this will be one of them.
  15. Man, this is a nicely designed and built town. What about adding a bar? Every small town needs are bar or two.
  16. I can't see an official set every being offered. As Exon states, it might offend/alienate. Great MOC though.
  17. I'm going to be on the lookout for this set. The price is a tad high, and the plane isn't perfect, but it's got enough rare pieces to make it worthwhile. With some minor tweaking that plane would make a great crop duster.
  18. Unfortunately, I think mikey is probably correct. Farm will probably reappear in a few year, like the harbor and hospital themes that come and go without any permanence. It's a real shame too, because there's a lot TLG could do with the theme still, as evidenced by some of the awesome suggestions in this thread. Ah well.
  19. Excellent write-up. I picked up the other police set with the new dog and love the new mold. It's an amazing difference over the old one.
  20. Holy cats, this is your first MOC? Very impressive!
  21. I'm generally most interested in Town/City, Creator homes, and the Modular Buildings. I pick up a whatever interests me in the other themes as well, except for the Biolicle/Hero Factory type stuff, which I don't care for.
  22. I was just saying how much I'd like a torso wearing a wife beater. Looks like I'll be picking up at least one of this set, likely two. Great review!
  23. Hi there. I've been lurking on this forum a while now and thought I'd finally register. I'm an AFOL from Michigan in the US. I do a little LEGO Comib that I have lots of fun with.
