  1. "No promblem, Namyrra. I should be alright to keep fighting, even if I do run out of ether.I will go for that Black Sheep with a Fire Spell from the back row."
  2. Excellent review CloneyO. I think these are your best review photos ever, by the way A pleasure to stare at and funny scenes to boot! I'm not a huge fan of this set myself, I think the newer one is better - at least they fixed Squidward. It does have some great parts in it though and I would not turn it down for $20.
  3. Cinna's eyes widen when she sees the beefy sheep and then the wolf. "Umm, didn't the map say this was the easy path?" "Nevertheless, I think I will go for that Black Sheep with a Fire Spell from the back row."
  4. you're not the only one ! Thanks for letting me play for 72 hours and 9 minutes.
  5. Sleeping and mushrooms are overrated.
  6. Last minute bandwagoners.
  7. Well, I'm honestly not sure what you want from me. I've shared everything I can. I've answered every question, I've given you guys my list of suspects. There is absolutely nothing more I can give. I have no "important info" that I'm holding back, I have no inner-circle, nothing. It's an impossible task to get blood from a stone, my friend. All I can do now is vote. Vote: Becka Bulldog (Rick) And now as a parting gift to you all, I will spend my last hours catching some delicious fish and leave them for you when I face whatever fate our dear leader has deemed appropriate for the chosen ones.
  8. Well, looks like almost everyone is asleep. Hopefully you all will find some real info tonight and tomorrow and start working as a team instead of a bunch of paranoid fluff puffs. As promised earlier, here's my list of suspicious people. Since I don't have anyone to trust, I'll just let everyone have the info. Sorry town, but now you'll have to fight the scum knowing what was scummy about themselves. Becka Bulldog (Rick) - Comes in late, quotes a lot of people, says nothing much though. Non-commiting to a vote until its becoming a bandwagon. Brigit Bunny (Sandy) - Nothing helpful at all, lots of "go town" but just enough visibility to not be invisible, and this after it was brought up that the bunny family was quiet. Cameron Crocodile (Rufus) - Again, lots of typing but no substance. Not the first to vote me, but not the last. Casey Cat (Scouty) - Casey tried to help, but when I think about it, did she? Why would she say I contacted her? I never asked her to publicly defend me. Once I'm dead and come up town, she will look like a good samaritan. Gordon Gorilla (scubaradish) - Started the whole thing. One gentle prod and he knew I'd freak out (it's just what I do). Wasn't the first one to vote for me, wasn't the last to jump on the bandwagon. He even got a little wishy-washy in his posts. Those are my top suspects. Town - please be careful, please keep an eye on them, and please save us all. Pennie Pig - Oh my dear Pennie. You have been used by the scum. This is what I beleive. You were set up to set me up. You should really be more careful in the future because just being nervous does not make one scum. If you turn out to be evil, I will be shocked and I can eat some crow pie for being wrong. All in all, I do agree with the lynchers who say we can learn something from my death. We'll just see what you all do with that information. Am I giving up? Well, I'm not going to waste my time arguing in vain at this point - I've got about two hours left and most of you are asleep. If I do somehow survive by some miracle, I look forward to talking to you tomorrow!
  9. It's not something I really like, but I figure I'll go ahead and multiquote this time. Thanks for taking my words into consideration of reconsidering your vote... I think this is a good summary of what's happened the last 60 hours but not really useful. Unless I'm missing something. This is the main problem when people are accused of anything because anything we say just gets the "well that doesn't sit well" or "of course you'll say that so you don't seem scummy". There is no winning in a situation like that. I'm not panicking, I'm not giving up, I'm just stating a fact. I'm not scum, so I think you will be back to square one on the Petey/Casey issue in the morning. I dunno what to say. Paranoia? Yes, that's how I am. LIke I've said a bunch of times already. I still hope that at least the town can use the info after I'm gone and make some real observations and catch these scum. If Casey is scum, then he is the most clever person here for backing a soon-to-be-confirmed townie like myself. Well based on the score I saw when I got home and the fact that at least half the town is already asleep - it's not looking good for lil' ol' me. No at the time I decided to contact those folks, everyone else was being non-commenty or attacking me. They are the only two I thought might listen without coming back to attack me immediately. Just the same way anyone can say me being upset is "scummy" or "weird". It's all ridiculous panicked reactionary crap and I suggest everyone look at the people who started this lynch because you will see there is at least one scum. Mark my words. You'll all feel pretty silly in the morning when you see the results Like I said before, once accused there is nothing the accused can say that's "right". I've been more than helpful, answering all questions and issues brought up. Wow, that's amazingly insightful and helpful. I hadn't ready your points yet because of tiny communication device. Hopefully I've addressed your questions, but I think you are already asleep anyway and the day ends in a few short hours. If anyone has actual new questions to bring up, please let me know. I'm happy to answer. I'd rather not keep saying the same thing over and over though, so I'l probably just ignore anything that's already been covered in my posts today.
  10. "Sounds good to me Namyyra"
  11. I didn't insult the town. I only said I hope if I die that they have a brain and actually use the info instead of letting the scum walk all over them and steer a string of townie lynches. I do find it interesting that you read my who message and chose that as your comment. Like I says in the message you replied to, I am not done yet with my analysis and don't yet fel comfortable bringing up my accusations. Why do you keep asking questions about things I've already covered. I think you know how frustrated that makes me and you are just trying to anger me. Gibson - I will get back to you later, but I know in the end you are just jealous of my super cute panda body.
  12. I don't have much time to respond right now, but there isn't much time left in the day anyway, so I wanted to respond the best I can to the concerns I've seen coming up. Why have I been quiet? Well, what more was there for me to say? I had addressed all the concerns brought up, to the best of my ability, and explained myself. Are you expecting me to just respond to everything with a quote from something I said before? Repeating the same info over and over seems to needlessly water down our already insanely long discussion. I've been sitting back, reading and watching everything. I've actually seen some really interesting responses from some of the previously quieter folks (not the silent under-the-radar folks of course). I've been making my notes and if I figure out anyone that can be trusted before I die, I'll send them the info. Right now though, I have zero trust for anyone. Which brings me to my next point... Why would I "trust"/contact anyone? I know we have gone over this already and it strikes me as odd that people are just overlooking responses so they can keep asking the same questions over and over. But, since you insist on bringing it up again, I'll address it. I do not trust either of those people I contacted. At the time, they seemed most reasonable/able to look at information rationally, and even though voting hadn't started I felt that my head was on the block (which in hindsight you can see I was right). I only messaged them to say that I don't want to die and feel that I can be helpful to the town. I didn't ask either of them to come in here and defend me, I didn't give them any information to try and convince them of anything (I have no information to give anyway). Lynching Petey would give us a zillion clues to look at Well yes, I guess so. I mean, any lynch today can provide us information to help us find the scum. I say any lynch, but that's not really true I guess. Lynching a quiet person will only provide info if they are scum, which is kinda a shot in the dark at this point. We could get lucky, but I doubt it. There are too many quiet people to choose from. Anyway, that's not the point. The point is that yes lyncing me will give you info based on those who have been attacking me and those who have been blindly voting for me, those who seem to be defending me, and even those who have been splitting the vote. ... well crap, I guess lynching me does sound pretty solid. There's no arguing that. The only thing I can say about lynching me is that I don't want to die...but who does? I will come up as town in the morning and Pennie will say "omg, but he was acting so strange?" and everyone will sheep around and say "yeah that sucks but now we can annalize stuff." and then, nobody will annalize and the scum will take out another of us in tomorrow's lynch. This is the cycle. Defenses? They don't matter. People who have made up thier minds will not change votes no matter what the accused says. All an accused person can do is get as many facts out there as possible before the end and hope that the town has a brain. So I guess all told, if I am to get lynched today it will at least give the town some info to go on. I'd rather not be lynched, of course, because there are less deadly ways to find out if I am scum. If that is my fate though, to be lynched and open up the analytic holes on the scum who've set me up/sheeped/or hidden, then so be it. I really have nothing more to say and I really don't think there is anything for me to defend at this point. For my vote, I will get it placed in a few hours, but right now I'm undecided. There are a few people that look bad to me for different reasons. I'm not going to name them right now because then you'll just say "oh blame shifting". Like I said, once someone is accused, there is absolutely nothing they can really say without people freaking out.
  13. Would you like me to address your questions about my play here or only on lesson two I should work them out? Basically, I'm asking if I passed lesson 1.
  14. seeing the ant is already an antcicle, Cinna attacks Battle Feral Hen from the back row with a Lightning Spell. Cinna changes her mind and decides to attack Big Rat from the back row with an Ice Spell.
  15. "Wow Benji! That was amazing! I'll duplicate my attack from last round." Cinna attacks Battle Ant B from the back row with an Ice Spell.
  16. Oh, well I guess I won't stop him then. Did I get you the right answers? Looking forward to seeing your assignment 1. Appology accepted.
  17. I used that same head for a zombie that my questers skipped.
  18. We are only late because that's what it means to be cool. Happy birthday def
  19. Excuse me sir, but are you a student in this lesson? This is Hinckly's lesson, so no.
  20. "Sure thing, Namyrra!" Cinna attacks Battle Ant B from the back row with an Ice Spell.
  21. Happy Birthday RA! Thank you to all the teachers that make it possible for EB to have the best LEGO set reviews on the net! Without your hard work and dedication, the world would be much more shadowy, misspelled, and lacking in substance. I'm looking forward to reading all of those 19 eviews in the coming days.
  22. No, you aren't stupid. On a lot of pocket cameras, manual modes are not intuitive. Everything I recommended for you to do in my first reply, I actually made sure your camera could do it before I typed it for you. It's just a matter of "how" to do it. I should be able to find that in the manual. In the meantime, here's what I used to find out what your camera can do: Sony DSC-H10 I'll get back to you with instructions as soon as I can. I wish it wasn't two hours later here And I'm back! Alrighty. For future reference, here's your manual. On the top of your camera is a big dial. You want to turn it so that the M is selected. This puts your camera in manual mode. Unfortunately I can't really copy/paste much from the PDF so you'll need to look at page 31 of the manual. I think that has all the info you need though. If I still haven't understood your question, let me know. I can be rather dense sometimes myself.
  23. I've added some sample photos to my lesson. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=60414&view=findpost&p=1079518 Hopefully that will help where my words were failing me. I also realized a lesson on photography with no photos is rather pointless.
  24. Sorry about that. I thought it was there. I've added it now, but for your own reference here it is.
  25. With your camera, the 1/2.5" (5.744 x 4.308 mm) sensor is going to be the biggest hurdle to getting shallow depth of field. That's about the size of a pinky fingernail and just the physics of it means that even with a wide open aperture, you will have a deep DoF. When trying for a shallow depth of field, you will definitely want to make sure you have your camera in manual mode. Set your aperture to F3.5 and then set up your lighting and shutter speed to get the effect you want without changing your aperture or ISO (which should always be set at 100). The way I'd trick the camera to seemingly get a shallow DoF is to space the scene elements farther apart and use Zoom to compress the distance. If you are not sure what I'm talking about or would like an example, let me know I will build and get you some photos here in your lesson. One more thing, you mentioned the focus point. Make sure you set the focus mode to "Single" which will probably be smack in the center of the frame. This is where the focal point will start and the focus area will extend in front of and behind that point linearly at the same angle as the lens. This is a difficult concept to type out, but I think the butterfly image in my lesson explains it fairly well. Once you lock focus on an object, you can move your camera up/down (Y axis) and left/right (X axis) without an issue but don't move it forward/back (Z axis) or the focus will be off.
