Why don't you use the technique shown in the detective office for creating the water barrel on the roof?

Actually the original design of the hoth base has specific "hangars" for each ship. The snowspeeder has this trapeze shape, the x-wings have bridge-like structures while the y-wings were held outside the base, close to the huge cargo ship.

Another step forward and now onto the main blast door.

I know it's a bit of necroposting, but I wanted to (re)start again from where I left. The project on LDD is at this stage ATM. And the build is like this right now. The area beneath the red minifigs will host the TFA MF with the round dish instead of an older MF or a much expensive UCS MF. Ignore de purple 2x2 tiles, they're just for placehoding.

Very nice idea and moc bro, but dat floor is really super bent. My suggetsion to male floating floor is to look at the instruction of the death star 10188 and see how the floors are made. They are very sturdy and unbendable...

Smitty500, I'm currently planning of starting first with a small scene but I want to make it modular so that i can enlarge the scene as much as I want. Most certainly i'll build the infirmary shown in Ep.V The battlefront 2 idea is awesome I'll go play it tonight for inspiration. Thank you very much.

Thanks Fuppylodders for your advice, i've done a lot of research on how is the Hoth layout and I currently have a lot of images that I'm working on. I'd like to build snow wall behind the snowspeeder but I'm stuck with the lack of building techniques for building it.

UCS 75060 Slave 1 UCS 10188 Death Star UCS 10240 X-Wing

Hello everyone, I'm currently MOCing the Hoth Echo Base from SW Ep.V , at the moment I'm at the point as shown in the pic below. I'd like to recreate the scene when the base is invaded by the snow troopers in the hangar bay. Any hints\ideas\criticism about the MOC as it is now? The 3m red pin are friction pins so that the crane can stay put at any given angle.
