Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
finish-last replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
I wish they make a complete new train - that looks exactly like 10173 only with green ornaments and some extra minifigs. That is probably the official picture: http://www.brickshel...y.cgi?i=5312718 No wait, that's what happened with the toy-shop. Nevermind. -

I don't need another train, but the ornament is pretty slick. https://www.facebook.com/LegoWinterVillage/?fref=nf -
Just a side note, what is this? http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Product/?p=40125 (See URL after opening) http://brickset.com/sets/40125-1 Didn't we expect a small gingerbread house or something?

Winter Village Alternative Build Competition Proposal
finish-last replied to Ruse901's topic in LEGO Town
I think lots of people are complaining but still getting the set, the others can use LDD or maybe their old toyshop but that would mean some different parts. If we allow both versions we would get more entries. So I guess with the 2015 set you can always rebuild anyting which was built using the first toy shop. So if it's about changing the 2015 set to something better, it will be fair to allow both. For the instructions you can always take pictures. Rule 1: Everything winter village style, except a toyshop. Rule 2: Only parts allowed which are included in the OLD or NEW set, later we need instructIons for the winner set. We need the new parts list or the old parts list. Old parts list: http://brickset.com/...ntories/10199-1 -

Oh, look! There's a giant bird behind you! *runs to van with lego logo and drives away* Maybe we can allow LDD this time with the official brick list, so you don't have to buy it. Isn't LDD capable of creating building instructions as well? HM. -

Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Accoring to this post, GRogall is actually pi**ed off, so I'm not holding my breath for a second set this year. Saves me money, buying 2 sets isn't bosslady approved... http://www.doktor-br...70558#post70558 Basically he's stating that he is pi**ed off, but getting one 10249 box in january/february. So maybe his teaser is still correct, it's not a second version of the shop, it is the same shop with some nice changes, maybe that reffers to sweet. Don't know. Maybe I'll try to get Creator 31038 later, I like that idea. -
It would be fun, if it is possible to take the old and the new christmas tree and make a giant one. Then stack the new toy shop on top of the old one and call it "Toy Emporium". Put that in the official manual and I would be pleased too.

They already put up a site for us: http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/6007 Indeed! So you have to built in steps of 24? Like page by page or 1 day a lamp, next day a toy? And so on? On Dec. 6th a bigger thing I suppose. Or one set a day, so Lego NEEDs to create at least 24 sets, guess we're save now!

I'm only collecting brickseperators myself. Hmmm $41 for a blue one. I'm all in!!!! $410 for one in old-grey
-
Yeah, be quick, it will only cost $21, in six years it will be $41... so you better hurry
-
Some people have more space and want a big village, others want to randomize each year. So deciding each year what to build is a tradition for some. And for the christmas tree it's just the same, I can't put all my ornaments in the tree but rather decide each year new how it should look like. That's the fun part, at least for me...

No idea, but GRogall was actice yesterday but didn't post..

Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion

GRogall was active yesterday but didn't post. I'm sure someone will find a 10249 box with a little post-it in it: "Help me, I'm held hostage in a secret Lego facility. -GRogall" Oh and the toyshop... oh boy. I thought of getting one and then build it mirrored and make it a candy shop. I think I saw a cottage somewhere which was built mirrored. Wasn't the first toyshop way cheaper than this one? -

Yes, but he only said it's sweet. Finding out what it is, is the meaning of "Rumours and Discussion", isn't it? If they re-do the toy shop, they should just re-do all other buildings as well. -

Me too, don't make me drive to denmark, I dare you!!! And I do think what 1stein said is correct, it doesn't make any sense. -

Since there is no news on the set, I googled a bit and stumbled over this, I saw it and loved it: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/101678 I NEED the instructions. And we need that house too with lots of LEDs. mmmmh So back on topic. The guys @bricksetforum came up with a pdf from the lego website that states 10249 is indeed a toyshop. http://www.bricksetf...#Comment_372344 BUT I STILL THINK IT'S A CONSPIRACY! Yes, I hope, or something. oof -
On the website the url says: Monthly-Mini-Build-October-Anglerfish-40135 Isn't an anglerfish one of these ugly guys with the "lamp" thing on the forehead?

And in other stores they only use 10249 - Winter Village Set for 2015. Maybe they always copy an old excel sheet with the old names, then they fill in the number and then the name. Oh and just for the fun of it, go here: http://shop.lego.com/Product/?p=10249 Which results in: h ttp://shop.lego.com/en-US/Winter-Toy-Shop-10249?p=10249 Or in german: h ttp://shop.lego.com/de-DE/Weihnachtlicher-Spielzeugladen-10249?p=10249 I think it's just a placeholder in the database nothing more. Maybe that's what caused the original rumours?! Just in case you're wondering, if you change the word "toy" in the URL to "candy", you will still be transfered to the "toy"-URL because it's all connected to the id 10249. So I bet it's just a data copy of the original 10199 set, which makes perfect sense to me. Oh and another thing if you use 10251 in my first URL, you will end where the URL says Expert-1-Confidential-10251. If you look up the hoth base it will say: Star-Wars-Direct-Confidential-75098 The reason why it shows "toy shop" is simple that they forgot to change the value to something like WV-Confidential-10249 or something. That's the way almost any CMS outthere works. They just didn't use it the right way if you ask me... If someone has plenty of time, he or she can open the URL above everyday and tell us when the name changes to CANDY SHOP yay... -

Changing the title is wrong in so many ways... And I do think the thread belongs to the towns forum unless we get a village forum *shakes head sadly* -

GRogall's hints were a good source in the past, so I'm all in for the candy shop. If it is a toy shop I'll moc it to fit my candy needs. I can't loose now! -
Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
finish-last replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
Ah, OK!!! Now I understand everything. It was all so clear... it is indeed a new toy/candy shop. It's just like in a burger store... the new toy store will double your pleasure... https://amodularlife.wordpress.com/2010/08/15/my-modular-winter-toy-shop/ We just put the new candy store on top of the old toy shop, pure genius, everyone can be happy now ;) My second guess is a new toy shop which will include 3 window plates from the 4756-1: Shrieking Shack PLUS a new flag with "Out of Business" for the old shop. That would make sense too... -

It does look a bit out oft place, so the roof needs some extra tweaking. http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w136/gatorzip02/Lego%203/London20.jpg
