The torsos, calvary shields, and breastplate were just waterslide decals printed with a inkjet printer on decal paper. The fabric was a bit more complicated. I started with a white broadcloth that was a bit too cheap and transparent (something I will try to improve upon in the future.) I then used a fabric stiffening spray, at least 3 coats I believe. To make it less transparent I brushed on some gesso. After it was dry I lightly sanded the cloth. Then I fed it through the printer, let it dry and then reversed it, and printed on the other side. After the second side dried I sprayed some acrylic varnish on each side. The method was a litle crude so I hope in the future I can find an easier way. The gesso was a little uneven when dry so there were a few capes with splotchy colors that had to be thrown out.
Thank you. Yes I agree most of their stuff doesn't look right but they did have some successes. I have had a few types of helmets that won't fit, mostly with the Wave 3 of the D&D Kreons. I assume you mean the crossbowmen shields with the cross. Yes they are Kre-o, they are from wave 2 D&D kreons, the kreon is called Lander.
Thank you!
Thank you so much. I appreciate it.
