All of my managers said POTC has been doing way more than expected. He also showed me a 2000+ piece Flying Dutchmen that is supposed to come out in 2012. I have always loved castle and pirate movies, like I said earlier, I am a Knight templar and a pirate captain reenactor. But I have seen more come of these licensed themes then out of regular ones. I don't see the problem with the liscened themes. It is always infinitley better for them to do a related fleshy line inbetween classic lines instead of nothing at all during the brainstorming process.

okay, re-reading all my posts, I notice I joined, had been lurking a while, but joined just to tell you all that pirates were confirmed. The only reason I posted in this thread, was to say that after my discussion with the Managers in the southern US, It doesn't look like there will be more kingdoms sets, from my understanding, and my un-ending questions. I like the kingdoms, but not as much as fantasy castle. Templars , to me are the only thing I would want besides LOTR. That will never happen though... I welcome fleshy. I don't think anything could possibly be cooler than having an army of trolls, goblins, and uruk-hai. Most importantly, wishing for huge black spears and pikes, real Norse helms, fighting knives, and chainmail printed armor without blankedy blank chains on them. I do in fact hope there is a few filler sets in between from kingdoms, but this means I can quit buying overly expensive soldiers and save for a nicer, hopefully better armed, nicer printed line of soldiers.

I just got home from where I used to work and we talked about it some more. I was the first to confirm POTC on here. I signed a contract saying I wouldnt tell and I came straight here. Look back If you have to. I solumly swear LOTR will be out 2012. We were discussing it and believe there will be pics in dec or early 2012... We also talked about how kingdoms has or is being killed off just the same as pirates were for POTC. Im super excited, Ill show or tell what I know whenever I learn more. Seeing how Im in the states, I will speak first of anything for our statley bros haha. Like I said whenever I find something out...

I am a medieval and pirate reenactor so the movies help with people making costume pieces accurately, selling and making good weapons... and it doesn't hurt toy lines. I love love love the classic lines, but im disagreeing with you about the arthurian legend thing. He based it on every and all mythologies, cultures and legends of northern Europe...Arthur too. If we would have had a licensed viking line instead of regular, we might have had helms that weren't crap. It took them 30 years to make a decent great helm. Im hoping LOTR will bring real norse spectacle helms like the Rohinians wear. My favorite line right now is the Castle line. I got multiples of every set, and a current crown army of 100. I am making a huge castle for Brickfair in Bama this January. When LOTR comes out I will build a figure scale Helms Deep, as I have not seen any perfect ones yet. I will admit That the best MOC I have ever seen is the Last March of the Ents. I understand that they did not use any customs and it came out perfectly, but I welcome LOTR more than any other license imaginable. Ha except assassins creed, but Lego will never make Knight Templar because of religion, and I am somewhat of a purist and do not like customs. But as Im buying more and more crownies, its just ridiculous what I halve to pay, people charge just to much for kingdom soldiers an all you have to do is run down the road to the store or order from LEGO direct, and it all comes out cheaper. So, Ill gladly welcome expensive licensed themes.

Whats yalls problem with LOTR? yea its not going to be cheap, but it is the greatest story ever told. Way more in depth than anything Lego could ever make up. It will bring new armor, pieces, colors... and without movies like POTC, pirates being "in" would die off... And im sorry I do not want to buy 20 year old legos all the time at butthurt prices. Yes I will always love and admire the classics, but Im not paying for used worn-out second or third hand fair conditioned legos when I can get a new more worthy, highly collectible theme such as LOTR or POTC.

Okay, I worked at the LEGO store when Was told about POTC and as soon as I heard I rushed home and confirmed it to everyone in here... I wasn't wrong about it and im still close to my managers at Lego and I was told about It yesterday. I dont see why its so hush hush but its coming. I haven't been lied to yet,,,

Seeing how I got fired from the Lego store, it wont hurt me any, but yes a reliable source told me. I also, was on of the first, if not the first to say POTC was confirmed and coming.

I have been told from a source I cannot tell that LOTR is confirmed for mid 2012! I asked if it was just going to be the game and I was told "no the whole theme".

LOTR is confirmed! I have no proof so don't ask. I have been told mid 2012... so I doubt any new kingdoms beside the joust is coming.

Bricks!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rednecks really, come on. That was a cheap shot. I cannot wait for them, its alot like the gross looking pirates or castle or any lower class figs that are a must have.

It is a great fantasy ship indeed! But other than it being a ship it looks nothing like the Black Pearl. The stern just has a crazy amount of things going on. The forecastle is too high. It does not have enough sails. There are too many windows, The figurehead just doesn't resemble...I absolutely hate the BP that's coming out in November, and I never thought id see a pearl that looks worse than the official set but.... IT is a great ship, I just wouldn't have named her the Black Pearl.
