hehe, good news: i will build some star trek mocs next week, cause next week aren't any lessons at university... ;) oh, and fifth element (funny, i watched it on dvd, a few hours ago.... :D) mocs are a great idea!!! THE CAB!!! ;) that should belong into the new forum, but great movie by the way!!!

uh, 10131 again.... :P and modificating original sets isn't my thing, too... although if the sets aren's as good, my lego-heart says: LET IT BE ORIGINAL!!!! ;)

hehe, emmerich destroyed NY in Godzilla, too... ;) and thoug he is a german (from the same region like me...), he makes VERY USA-patriotic movies...

and the best thing is, it CANT be as worse as Dracula2001... ;)

jipay, that spoiler comment wasn't because of me, it was only in a general meaning.... i already knew that doc frazier will die... :( but always think at the other people that can read this thread too... ;) back to topic: i'm not sure about atlantis.... the things that i read about it implied me the feeling of an "normal" sci-fi series, stargate and everything around changes more and more to fit to the other sci-fi series.... e.g. think at the X303 (forgot the name... :$ no, NOT enterprise... :lol:)... this ship REALLY looks like a federation ship or something like this.... the original idea of stargate (fighting basically with 20./21. century's weapons, using earth technology) had been changed, we are now able to duplicate alien technology (X301/X302, naquada reactor,shield technology, hyperdrive engines...) i'm not sure how to feel about this, on the one side it looks like "hey, this is working, we are getting powerful!", we developed and are now able to defeat the goa'uld.... but on the other hand, stargate lost a little bit of its original spirit... the humans don't defeat aliens with their military abilities and their guerilla tactics any longer (oh, and with coolness... ;) )... NOW they easily use alien technology....

i heard that the movie isn't that great how it is advertised... the battles are superb, but the story isn't... but that are only rumors of others, i hope to see it in the next days and weeks (the problem is, that our big cinema center had to close because of a lack of money, so we have only two small cinemas left here in aachen... :( ) i'm really interested in the topic troy because i read the book "Die Feuer von Troja" by Marion Zimmer Bradley (translated "the fire of troy", but i'm not sure if this is the original title....) several times and its one of my all time favorite books!!! ;)

thanks for rescuing my thread before he went completly off.... :P back to the topic: i will build some other trek based models the next days, maybe a work bee or some little fighter (there arent many, star trek mostly uses that large war ships... :( but i like more to build up system scaled sets...) eventually i will build some 1:1 models of a tricorder or some weapon (i did a few years ago some weapons, a starfleed phaser, a bajoran and a jem'hadar phaser, and a bath'let... oh, and the phaser rifle of star trek VIII!!!!) but time will show... ;)

hm.... somehow.... i have the feeling, instead of really going off-topic we are more DISCUSSING our ability to make every thread going to something else in the last days :lol: maybe one day we all sit together and write a book "Pro's And Con's Of Off-Topic Threads - A Report By The Eurobricks® Community" :P

they should have included (@ jon: one day you have to teach me how to use the words "should" and such things in a right way... ;) ) a head, that doesnt open when IT wants or where the sides fall apart and so on.... okay, the head looks good, but only as long as you don't move it... :(

no, the most docus have subtitles or are even translated completly, but the last few docus haven't anything... :lol: it looks like they had a lack of time short before the release date... oh, and the extensions ARE excellent, i love them so much!!! the only bad thing is, that i'm not sure anymore, what was in the cinema version and whats special dvd... thats because i never watched the normal versions on dvd... but they release a set with all three normal movie versions the next days, maybe i will get it... ^_^

no, thats not the thing... i'm used to see threads going off-topic.... :lol: but i wonder if we should make jokes about things, that COULD be related to things currently happening (beheading of the american man)... okay, here speaks the small philosopher inside me...

as long as i am able to read english or in a direct talk i have no problems understang english... but i have big problems understanding "normal talked" english, e.g. if i watch english movies (okay, actually i don't do this, but e.g. am i watching the LotR documentations on the extend version... somehow they hadn't the time to make subtitles for ALL docus... at BOTH movies, fellowship and two towers... :blink:

shame over me i forgot to say: i have the technic battle droid and pit droid, cause i got them cheap at ebay (all together 6 euro plus shipping) but i would never had buyed them at normal prices... and i don't know how to store them, somehow they doesn't look good together with the system sets...

cool! is it in the theaters?!? or when does it come?!?
