Hello Selander! I saw your hook lift truck some months ago on flickr as I was looking for a design of a 6-wide MAN-cab. I have to say that I like the design of your 6-wide trucks very much! Your 1-wide solution for the hook lift looks much more realistic than mine. I have chosen 2-wide for the arm because the “driver” of the truck is just some years old and his hands are not sensitive enough for something more fragile ;-) What I like more on my design is the hook built with the plate modified with arm up. Compared to the connection with a clip this solution needs no force to connect or disconnect the container. Regards, Mario

Hello Legocitycustoms! Your version looks much better than the original! Regards, Mario

Hello Legocitycustoms! For Dakar I built this one: Rally Assistance Truck My first idea after I built the Trial Truck was to make something like a swap body to convert the Trial Truck easily to a Rally Truck. But as in real life Rally and Trial doesn't fit to the same vehicle - Trial means lowest speed, highest mobility and no payload. Good videos for Truck Trial: Kind regards Mario

Hello! @ Legocitycustoms: I got this part light-years ago with set 6668 @ dr_spock: In the beginning I used the black round plate 1x1 now I usually use the tile for the gas cap (I just miss other colours like dark bluish gray or black) @ all: THX for comments! By the way, instead of this old hinge plates it’s naturally possible to build it with actual parts Kind regards Mario

Hello! I've this part on stock, but it's too small. It was designed for 4 wide trucks many, many years ago ;-) Kind regards Mario

Hello everybody! I’d like to show you my hookloader. The red arm looks maybe a bit too plump but it is stable enough for children’s hands. Stability is as well the reason why it is just possible to load and unload containers but not tipping them - when I need a tipper truck, there is another one in the garage ;-) The colour scheme is inspired by one of Austrian’s most important companies for heavy transport and lifting technology http://www.felbermay...ndex.php?id=410 I built as well a trailer for the truck. As in real life it is possible to unload containers from the trailer with the hookloader. Mainly the truck is used to transport equipment for my cable crane and as well to supply the construction sites. Interested what you say! Regards, Mario

Here's a photo of the chassis: regards, Mario

@ TheBear, sens1992 Thanks for idea with set, but I think people who like this kind of sets are the minority :-( Greetings, Mario

Hello Nemo57! I like this parts your son used for the axles of the vehicle on your photo. I used this spring wheels holder (BL name – it took me a while to find it) for the buggy and the blue van of the rally team. I’ll post some photos of the suspension – hopefully I find some time in the evening. Kind regards Mario

Hello ImanolBB! Yes, I miss this kind of Vehicles in the portfolio of TLC – so I’ve to build them by myself and I’m sure to continue ;-) It’s not my scale (I just build 6-wide cabs) but your trucks look really GOOD on LDD! Have you built some of them? If yes, please post photos. Kind regards Mario

Thanks to all for comments! I like trucks and I like mobile, self-sustaining vehicles and units - like this "mobile workshop" ;-) @ Imanolbb: No, I haven't tested rubber elements. My main goal was just to build a chassis which is able to ride over the most rough terrain in my children's room ;-) Kind regards Mario

Good evening everybody! It’s a high-mobility truck with the typical body of rally assistance trucks. With wide opening side panels and a workshop on the right hand side … ... and enough place for spare parts and anything else you need in the outback ;-) I used the 2x4 tiles on the side panel because of stability reasons. The colours themselvs shall symbolize the usually colourful advertisements on rally trucks on the one hand, and on the other hand they are a tribute to the colourful toy LEGO! Trailer for the rally buggy Trailer for the Truck-Trial truck: The rally team: Paddock: While the drivers rest and enjoy a cool drink the mechanics started to repair the damages of the day. The rally assistance and the Truck-Trial truck with their colleagues of everyday life: Regards, Mario

Servus Nemo! Both thumbs up for your truck collection! (and as well for your pick-up collection) Regards Mario Ps I miss 8-wide windscreens from TLC!!!

Thanks @ all!! @ beck: I am not 100% happy with the studs. I built 3 versions. Without studs on the front, with studs and with a tile on the studs (as you suggested) In my opinion without studs looked too smooth and the tile was too much. So at the end I like it most as it is. By the way I'm a bit old-fashioned and like visible studs ;-) Regards, Mario

Good evening everybody! This is my first MOC to be posted on EB ;-) After I saw some truck trial competitions I wanted to build one truck in minifig scale. It should be a class III, close-to-production 3-axle truck. The real ones you can see here http://www.europatrucktrial.org/ TruckTrial_1 by MariusL, auf Flickr Colour scheme is inspired by the two main sponsors ;-) TruckTrial_2-1_Gelaende by MariusL, auf Flickr outside in the real world TruckTrial_8 by MariusL, auf Flickr Most important for me had been the main function – in this case the chassis with the pendular axis for maximum cross-country mobility, the design of the roll cage and as ever the playability. I can’t remember when I got in contact with LEGO – it must have been loooong time ago as I’ve been a baby (with my elder brother). Later as I got an engineer, I sometimes used the bricks to simulate concepts for new machines. As my son started to play with the bricks, my dark ages ended finally and I started to build again ;-) Now, my focus is to build playable MOC’s. By the way, I live in wonderful Austria and my English is very poor, but if there occur questions, I’ll try my best to answer ;-) Mit steinigen Grüßen, Mario
