  1. A purplecoat would likely be a politician but for some reason nor Broadside or Woodhouse (Wait he's not even a governor) and not even Captain Speedy, wear purple. I guess they're just to proud of their colors? And on the terms of Imperial Armada as Green: The Spanish aren't green. The Hessians are green!
  2. Yeah... There was only two sets and one of those were renewed in 2001. They weren't very big and the minifigures weren't very interesting in my opinion.
  3. Uh oh... I always had a feeling I misspelled it! I'll have to go and ask a moderator to rename me. Well, a leutinant is an officer, so actually we're equals! But, if you're above the lieutinant rank, then yes, you'd be my boss (to an extant)
  4. I don't think you can resize an image on the tablet. Is there an alternative?
  5. So i haven't posted much MOCs lately, or posted at all really. The reason for this is that my computer's fan is broken and my computer overheats every 20 minutes or so. So i decided to grab my recently obtained Soldiers' Outpost and rebuild it as Soldiers' Keep. The image is too big so i'll have to put it in a spoiler. The MOC includes a tower with two floors: One with a chest, and the roof. The roof consists of a cannon, a small area to store the ammunition, and a small wooden platform to stand on. The first floor has four windows and is a bit inaccessible due to lack of parts. The tower is decorated with red 2x3 bricks and brown 2x2 cylinders, and many doorway/window top parts. There is a dock on either side, one with barrels/cargo, and the other with a catapult. a mast (a bit too piratey for a soldiers set.), a barrel containing a fish, ammunition and a molotov. There is also a flag on the top of the tower. The minifigures included are a Pirate, a Bluecoat Officer, a Bluecoat Soldier, an Octopus and a Crab.
  6. I got Inferno Interception and Soldiers' Outpost a couple days ago. Building SO was a breeze but I had a hard time with II because for some reason two parts were missing from the box. Must've been a factory error.

  7. I don't know if this would be off-topic or not, but i can't understand the tutorial because the "Imageshack" images won't show up, and instead show a "Click and Discover Imageshack" image instead. Help?
  8. Thanks, I still wonder why i didn't use the masonry bricks before... Well, I had to use it for something eventually. At least Martinet finally gets his own "Fort", if i should call it that. Maybe that soldier near Martinet was a bit much, but i felt it was too barren. Also, my aim is to have my sets feel official-ish, and seem like it would be a real set, which is kind of like a goldilocks zone. Not too detailed, not too simple, just like official sets. I'd guess this would be about 10 or 15 dollars, considering its size compared to the twenty-dollar Soldier's Fort. Thanks for the feedback guys!
  9. Dedication can make you an excellent MOC maker. This is the outpost you've all been waiting for/the one I kept mentioning. Ladies and Gentlemen, Martinet Outpost. Additional Images: Included is a dinghy, which is not too different from my Imperial Dinghy MOC, only that it lacks a lantern and a turntable sail, and has an Imperial Soldiers Flag. Also included is a Sailor, two Imperial Soldiers, and Leutinant de Martinet. I've decided from now on I'll use brick-patterned bricks in my wall designs, so it looks much more detailed than my other MOCs. The first floor has a chest (with 3 red, blue, and green gems.) and a barrel, the second floor has a barrel (Sheesh, why do I always spam barrels?) and finally, the third floor has an Imperial Soldiers flag. The walls now use a design similar to that of the Soldier's Fort's breakable wall, and I'm also using the same Door design as Soldier's Fort. I also used the SNOT technique on the crenellations, and added half of a bridge (I'm going to make another set with the other half, so that you can connect the two sets. Special Thanks To: 1999bug/AnonymousBug for Lt. De Martinet w/ Pupils decal. lomis for Imperial Soldier Torso decals and Backpack-On-Epaulets technique. Captain Braunsfeld, Captain Dee, and again lomis for motivating me to make more MOCs. Enjoy!
  10. Wait, we have a boat list in the index? Hm, didn't know about that... I just used my memory of ships/your suggestion of a Gaff-Rigged Sloop... I'll check it out later. Oh and I think I'll build a Skiff after the outpost, but I don't know for sure, so we'll just have to see.
  11. I plan on building an Outpost after this, and I don't know what after that... Probably another ship. As for the Bowsprit, you're right... I knew there was something wrong with that browsprit.
  12. Uhhh... Aren't the Imperial Soldiers blue, and the Imperial Guards red? Did you make a naming mistake, or did you mean to say "But" and not "Because"? Anyway, another reason why I like the Imperial Soldiers: Blue is a better camouflage than red. Blue fits in with the oceanic background and sky, while red is basically a target with legs shouting "Shoot Me!". Edit: Wait a minute... Which page was a reading? I think that was an old post...
  13. Woah! Where'd you get those decals? I've been looking all over the place for modern Imperial Soldiers decals that worked in LDD. Anyway, thank you for the .LXF, I'll use that backpack combination with all the MOCs I make from now on.
  14. Thanks, I actually have been getting better. This is how I built my MOCs two years ago: http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/lego/images/9/91/Custom_Creators.png/revision/latest?cb=20131026132955 (Sorry about the link: Image extension isn't allowed on the community.) Thats an embarrassment to every MOC builder on the planet. If I understood you correctly, I have added back the launchers which I think are the "Stern Cannons" you were talking about.
  15. One Mast 7C I made a dinghy, I made a Sloop... But I forgot all about the sailboat! It includes a Sailboat, of course, and a shark. Also included is a Sailor and Imperial Soldier, just like the dinghy did. I did a nice little design with a white lining and dark blue flooring, as well as a turntable cannon and a turntable sail. Feel free to give me your opinions! Changelog: - Removed Bowsprit
  16. Bowsprit: Done. Uses the TECHNIC pieces and looks much better (I as well thought the bowsprit didn't look good.) Cannons: Oh, uh... Misheard you there, I thought you meant two cannons to the sides... (Then again, the sloop would be too crowded with the cannon in the middle.) Tiller: The sloop is too big for the use of a tiller. I'm sticking with the steering wheel. I'd love to hear any more suggestions you have.
  17. It would be better off if it was for sets we own. (Because we'd have build and play experience instead of looking at pictures on the internet) I'd say Soldier's Fort. I love the colorscheme, and the overall feel of the set. It features lots of playability, especially the crane, the break-able prison wall, and the spinning cannon. The flag is also a very useful piece for other Imperial Soldier Fort MOCs. The minifigures are even better, and I love all of them. The pieces included are great for building your own fort as well.
  18. Bluecoats. I love the french culture, flag, etc. and I love the blue uniforms (The overhauled bluecoat Imperial Soldiers in 2015 are amazing) and the white epaulets give a fine charm. There is nothing I love more than the bluecoats. Eh... The Imperial Armada was based more on the Conquistadors than the Yellowcoats/Whitecoats (which causes a historical confusion in LEGO Pirates) and they were more of a mix of Green and Red.
  19. I created a quite detailed MOC, originally supposed to be a Soldier's Fort overhaul but I felt it was too early considering it was just released. It includes a Defence Tower (Of course), an Imperial Sloop, and a Pirate Dinghy. Additional Images: So yeah, here it is. It could use a lot more decoration, but I'll do that later. The first floor has a prison-like design, and includes a weapons rack and a barrel. The second floor contains a chest with three pickaxes, a table with a glass and a map, a chair, and a barrel. Finally, we have the third floor, which includes four lanterns, a barrel (Sheesh, there's a barrel on every floor!) a mobile cannon, a flag (Supposed to be the imperial soldiers flag but the decal is not in LDD.), and a crane. The sloop was created per Captain Braunsfeld's request. And finally we have the pirate dinghy identical to the one in Soldier's Fort. The minifigs included in this MOC are three Imperial Soldiers, an Imperial Sergeant, an Imperial Captain, and two Pirates. Feel free to give me your feedback, comments, and suggestions! Changelog: + Added Epaulets/Backpacks * Turned the sloop into a gaff rigged sloop (Or at least my impersonation of it) (Changed the sails, added cannons in the middle, changed the bowsprit, etc.) + Added more decoration to the interior * Changed cannons to the miniature launchers.
  20. View > New Themes > LDD Extended > Place in a torso > Press B > Click on the brick icon all the way to the right > Click on the front of the torso > Scroll through the decal library till you find the 90th decal > Click on it > Click the paint bucket > Click the colored square (Usually black) > Click on the dark blue known as "Earth Blue" > Color the torso > Color the hands > Done. I hope this helped.
  21. Actually that is not possible in LDD. The Epaulets were placed on the backpack through Developer Mode, and it could only be placed on top of the backpack, and cannot be placed underneath, sadly.
  22. (177A) One-Mast 7B So I made this yesterday. It's a small little set that barely stands out from the true beauties of the Pirate MOCs thread, but at least it's something. Included is an Imperial Soldier and Sailor. Images: It fails to attain detail, but it's a nice little set of mine. I wish LEGO Digital Designer had sail pieces though. The "Sail" was placed with Developer Mode (a feature only accessable by modifying the "Prefrences" file in LDD, if I remember correctly.) Total Bricks: 40 Total Minifigures: 2 Total Accessories: 9 Inventory:
  23. Testing if spoilers work, and I hope they do.
  24. "But of course you already knew that, what was i thinking?" - The Infomaniac, 1997, LEGO Island. Hello, my name is explained in the topic title. I'm LeutinantBluecoat, and i'm going to tell you a bit about myself. I love all the core themes, Town, Space, Castle, they're all my favorites: But one of my most favorites is the Pirate theme. I always loved the concept of Pirates: Captain Redbeard always dodging the Admiral, Governor Broadside, Admiral Woodhouse... But other than those subthemes, i love Islanders. The idea of tribal warriors led by the Voodoo-Wielding Chief King Kahuka was always amazing to me. I first found out of his existance in LEGO Racers (one of my most favorite LEGO games of all time.) and ever since then i've been a fan of the tribal Islanders, and i own the King Kahuka's Throne set as well. I also like the Imperial Soldiers, they're my favorite of the Imperial line. I love to imagine the soldiers marching on the Eldorado Fortress, protecting it from Captain Redbeard and his crew. I build MOCs often but i only have 10 and some are shabby LDD models. I also make brickfilms, but i haven't posted them on a video host yet. I also make art, and i draw often, but some things i draw aren't always involved with LEGO. I also like LEGO Island, (And i mean the first game. Don't like the second two very much) and i have taken screenshots before. Well, anyway, shouldn't crowd you all with my chit-chat, i'm happy to be a part of the community!
