I found a 7038 Troll Assault Wagon today, so I picked it up. I'm not big on projectile launching gimmicks, but it's a good set otherwise.

I'm not a big purchaser of licensed sets, but this one is so tempting to me. There are a lot of cool little aspects and elements that I wouldn't mind picking up.

Does anyone else find it odd that TLG is just now producing PotC? I realize the license wasn't obtained when the movies were out, so is there a new movie coming? I'm not complaining; I'm sure this will be a fun theme, but it seems like a somewhat odd choice to me. As for PoP, definitely some cool pieces. Is it the shortest-run licensed theme?

I think the worn down dirt path is a really nice touch. All that ritualistic marching is bad for the grass.

Toys R Us also has limited edition sets from time to time, and the Nanoblocks are available in LOFT stores as well. Some of the larger retail stores like Takashimaya usually have some Lego in their very limited toy department, but bear in mind that a lot of these places have a sizeable mark up. The worst I've seen is at TRU (Toys R Us): The Medieval Market Village is 20,000 Yen, which is approximately $200 US--double the price in America/ S@H.

Well, Series 2 of the minifigs finally arrived here in Japan, so after work I got: Pharaoh x3 Pop Star x3 Traffic Cop x2 Witch x2 Surfer x2 Spartan x2 Mariachi x1 Vampire x1 Skier x1 Disco dude x1 Not bad considering we can't scan the barcodes here. Our phones have been able to scan barcodes for at least the past 6 years, but the minifigs are sold individually in little plastic capsules and dispensed from prize machines so there's no way to know what we've bought until after we buy and open each capsule.
