  1. Yeah, a Heath Ledger joker will be awesome, but I don't think he goes well with Lego's values. A Ras al ghul will be most welcome + Talia. TLC really need to expand on the Batman villain base. Well, at least Batman figures are still valuable for now. I too have 6 batmans, don't want to depart with any of them, but the 14 Harry Potters I have are absolutely useless (that face is so annoying to look at) and wouldn't fetch much in the second hand market. Can't wait for more pictures of the Batcave and close-ups of the minifigures.
  2. So looks like more Batman sets in summer. TLC are spamming the DC universe with Batman sets which is not necessarily a bad thing, but it would have been nice to see some other DC characters getting some recognition. Batman is owning the DC line so far and many of us already have a lot of Batman sets already. Batman might outnumber the number of Harry Potters in a typical Lego city if this trend continues
  3. Apparently there will be more Batman sets coming along with the Dark Knight rises movie My link , but can we trust this article?
  4. The variety magazine article confirms that the Batcave include Bruce Wayne and that the DC sets will be released in January. Here's the relevant section for those who cannot be bothered reading the whole thing. "Lego will also use NYCC to show off new toys like its Lego DC SuperHeroes Batcave set, that includes five minifigures: Bruce Wayne, Batman, Robin, Poison Ivy and Bane, and comes with Batman's Batcycle and Bane's Drill-mobile. Special features include an elevator where Bruce Wayne can transform into Batman, vehicle flick missiles and a prison pod to secure Poison Ivy" "As part of the multi-year deal, Lego will get access to DC's entire library of superheroes to turn into minifigures and playsets. The first are set to hit store shelves in January"
  5. So looks like these sets will definitely get a May release at least in Europe. They still may be released in January in the US. If they aren't the winners of the Superheroes Unite contest will have to wait a long time to get their prizes.
  6. I don't think the prices of the old figures from the Batman line will go down, since the new figures are redesigned. If at all the prices may go up. Just look at cloud city Boba Fett for an example. Collectors want every version.
  7. Pictures at last! I really like the Superman vs Lex Luthor set. The rest are just remakes and not very interesting for those who already have the older versions. But it's a promising start.
  8. @Superficial Username, thanks for that. The lack of pictures from this line is so frustrating. How long do we have to wait? Good to see at least something new. The back printing looks nice for those figs, although Wonder Woman needs some improvement. Her legs look weired from the back.
  9. I would love to see that, even though it seems unlikely at present at least for 2012. It'll be awesome if we get 3 waves of 16 minifigures a year like what Lego do with the collectible minifigure series. That is 48 different Marvel and DC minifigures a year! But they definitely won't be priced at USD$3.
  10. If I had to pick one from each franchise I would choose MARVEL: Psylocke from the X-men DC: Jean-Paul Valley Batman from the Batman: Knightfall series Remember it took 12 years for Lego to give us Shaak Ti and Ki Adi Mundi in a Star Wars set. We'll need at least a decade of Superheroes themed sets for Lego to fulfill all our wishes.
