Are there more Mini-figs than there are humans?
Mythos replied to Hrw-Amen's topic in General LEGO Discussion
With the advent of the CMF's we have come to believe that minifigs truly outnumber humans, question is by how much, from one extreme of people who do not own 1 minifig to the other end of the extreme like my husband who owns thousands upon thousands of minifigs, we would be hard pressed to figure out the number of minifigs vs. humans. -
Cannons can be found on BL here in the minifig weapons catagory: Cannon base: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=2527 Cannon(shooting): http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=x110c01 Cannon Transitional (non-shooting): http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=bb39 Cannon (non-shooting): http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=518

My husband and I tried the trade thing over on Flickr, and while people wanted alot of the things we were trading, very few people had anything we were looking for. so for now were just sticking with straight cash deals.

Well S&H prices based on a 3lb package with a $2 packaging fee (box and tape) would be $35 Priority and $27 1st. class to Argentina. and yes the parts above have been replaced so that plane is complete assembly, only thing missing from set is the pearl gold Katana.
-
Also selling this set (7628) for $55

2 questions to ask yourself: 1: what pieces are missing? and the question that will decide your mind is, do you want it? If buying for yourself and it has the motor, good buy, if bmissing motor, very iffy buy, unless buying for yourself, if buying to resell, very iffy. if no motor then definately not.

was hoping to see some pics of the ship or WIP pics.

Which way up do you put the hands on your minifigs?
Mythos replied to Hrw-Amen's topic in General LEGO Discussion
My husband is like that too he will always put the flat side up and arms straight out in front, he does it so when he equips the minifigs their hands are available to fit items into them, your son probably does it cause it gives the minifigs a sense of motion. -
Right now were trying to get a local LUG organised since the nearest one is an hour drive one way which in these days and times is not economical, so far my Husband has set up FB site and gonna work on our own site, he also got a friend of his to send him a bunch of LEGO for the kids to play with along with some sets for prizes once we start. currently though were looking for a good venue to have the meetings at, we'll be checking our local libraries and such, plus he was going to check with some people he knows who have empty strip mall office space available. but right now getting everything ready is alot of work.

Which way up do you put the hands on your minifigs?
Mythos replied to Hrw-Amen's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Flat side up normally, but there are times when curved side up is called for it all depends on how I need to postion the item their holding. -
Yeah I bought a bunch of the yellow Futuron ones in bulk at .10 a piece just to get the yellow arms off of them, but other then that these minifigs usefullness is limited at best and the price the seller is asking is way over priced on them since you can buy "unGlued" ones for the same price.
-
wondering if you have instructions for this, cause it looks like alot of the parts can be found from the SW Jawa vehicles which I had a couple of.
-
we have more minifigs then we can count and just bought parts to make a few hundred more.
-
it is only a partial assembly it was designed to attach to a pin/badge you can wear.
-
yeah these figs while nice didn't sell so well due to the fact they were glued and had a big ugly white piece on the back which was impossible to remove well enough. and that was when they were being sold for much lower prices, personally I think his prices are a bit high since you can get unglued ones for about the same price.

How long do clearance sets stay available?
Mythos replied to tafkatb's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
When WalMart cleared these sets out they dropped the price by about 75 - 80% on them, they had the castle going for $18 and the little $11 set was $3 ea. and so on. -
I picked up a crud load of these and the red futuron and yellow futuron minifigs for .25 a pop awhile back, though the plastic piece glued on the back was a wee bit differant, except the legs were removable. are the black clips glued on with the plastic melting glue? couldn't remove the clips on the old ones without damaging the torso.

If I had to take a guess at a ball park amount for that figure, I'd say its currently worth about 5-6 thousand (USD) and maybe as high as $7K this is based on the price of gold and the collectibility fact (LEGO and StarWars). but this is just a guess it could fetch more or less on auction.
