About Me

Hello fellow Bricksers (and Bricksters),

Mij name is Ger and i live in Almere in the Netherlands. I am 55 years old and haven been a Lego Fan from my early childhood. In the 80's i begun collecting sets and over the years i got quite a collection.

After a periode of doing nothing with it (I got married and had other things to occupy my time with) i rediscoverd my collection. By this time i had a grandson who was just as interested in Lego as his grandfather. We both loved trains and begun building my lego trains. New ones were included and we had a good time.

Then i saw the new modular sets. The first one was Green Grocer and i managed to get Cafe Corner too. More followed (Fire Brigade and Grand Emporium ). I found serveral sites on the internet where creators showed there own MOC's. A had a lot of old lego and decided to recreate some of these MOC's to include them in my WIP-town. I learned a lot from building these three buildings. They are not finished yet, but i buy every month lego through Bricklink and step by step they wil be.

After these i begun to create my own MOC's and chose the City Corner as a start. I created two 16x32 buildings of with i am very proud.

Right now i am building two more houses. The first one will be Sonicstarlights Medevil Market Village Pub and next there is a new corner house, a Sushi restaurant.

Later on i wil build a Railway Station in CC style. For this i think i wil use my favourite Lego station, the Metro Station, as an example. I wil be buidling this in cooperation with my grandson, so he can learn the techniques from Grandpa.

I get very inspired on this forum and have resently published my first topics. I am glad i am a member and a AFOL.
