Guys, PLEASE remember there is a Harry Potter book with a exclusive mini-figure coming out sometime in July 2012. This may be what the store managers were talking about when they said the line wasn't completely dead... I don't mean to put a downer on it, and I would love to see more sets too, I am just pointing out it is likely the managers were talking about this book when they said it wasn't quite over yet.

Sorry for double post, but now have official information from two of the "Prison Break" episodes! Deception: ""When the Jedi learn of a Separatist plot to kidnap Chancellor Palpatine, Obi-Wan is sent to a Republic prison disguised as a convict to extract information from the conspirator. While inside, Obi-Wan discovers that Cad Bane has been enlisted and they must work together if they are to escape." Friends and Enemies: ""Fleeing across the galaxy, a disguised Obi-Wan, Cad Bane, and Morallo Eval are wanted fugitives pursued by Anakin and Ahsoka. Bane and Kenobi work together to evade the relentless pursuit from Anakin but it is Obi-Wan who must confront his former apprentice and do so without blowing his cover." -

News from the "Prison Break" arc! http://i44.tinypic.com/2z7h3qc.jpg It reveals quite a lot about the arc: Obi-Wan is going to turn villain, Embo will return with the other confirmed bounty hunters (Cad Bane/Bossk/Boba Fett). And also Saesee Tiin will appear, but a major part of cameo for Tiin is unknown. And most importantly, it confirms this arc will be a 4-part episode arc starting January 13th. It seems the Lux/Ahsoka episode will tie-in with the "Prison Break" episodes, as it is confirm the Lux/Ahsoka episode, "A Friend in Need" is also airing January 13th. -

Review: 9488 Elite clone & Commando Droid BP
commanderneyo replied to mutley777's topic in LEGO Star Wars
He said the "ARF", not "ARC". And FYI, the ARC is the red ARC that appeared for about a second at one point, named "Hammer". And yes, the ARF is based on the one from Kamino, but with it's "Mercy Mission" look. -

Great review! This is by far the best battle pack Lego has released. Great job by both you and Lego, Mutley -

I think the Skiff Guard & Lando are the same mini-figure. There's certainly Boba, Luke and a Weequay, but it could be Lando in his skiff disguise. There is only 4 mini-figures though. -

Lego's prices are always going to get crazier now, you just have to get used to it. As for the release date, they're releasing it then because January 30th is my birthday Jokes aside, I think it is an all-round marketing thing. Hasbro are putting out all their first releases of 2012 for their lines on that date, so I think it's something for all marketing, not just Lego. -

Indeed. It is a set from ROTS, after all. -
Ah, my mistake

I can't see the first one being made. After January 2012, Lego will have most likely finished with Geonosis based sets. As for the Umbara one, it is plausible. However, I think Appo is unnecessary, and it could just be 2 normal 501st troopers, as the only difference Appo has is a white arrow.

Honestly, my life would just me made if they were both CW If so, then I can worry about them being from Umbara or not. -

1. Dooku was on the Malevolence. He was on it during the episode "Rising Malevolence". The only mini-figure here that doesn't make sense is the Tactical Droid, as there were none in that arc. 2. Saesee Tiin's starfighter is accurate to TCW. Probably not the starfighter you may be thinking of, but this is the starfighter he had in "Citadel Rescue". And remember, these are prelim pics. So a lot can change -

My opinions so far on the summer sets: Skiff: Looks okay. The mini-figure selection is excellent, and it will be a great way to get that Boba cheap. The skiff so far doesn't look too good, but I know the Sarlaac will look different in final images, so I won't comment on that. TOR sets: I was hoping it was a joke about these sets when we originally got news. No such luck for me. They both look decent, with every mini-figure being new. However, they probably won't sell well, just like previous EU sets. I might just go for both anyway. We'll see. Saesee Tiin's starfighter: For me, this looks by far the best of the wave. Lego making Even Piell is great, new Astromech is nice, might have preferred it to be Adi Gallia's starfighter, but whatever. Starfighter looks pretty decent too. Would have liked to see a villain like Osi Sobeck in this set though. Gungan Sub: I actually quite like this set. Two new Padme's in as many years after a long time is great news. I find it interesting that Lego already fells the need to re-design Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon. Gungan Sub looks pretty good so far. Advent Calender: Actually looks worse than this year's one, in my opinion. Although, I quite like the idea of Santa Maul Malevolence: This ship is going to be awesome. I'm super-stoked for this one. In comparison to the ship, I feel let down by the mini-figure selection. I don't need another Dooku, Grievous, Anakin & Battle Droid. It will be interesting to see which Tactical Droid Lego include, as there wasn't any Tactical Droid's ever aboard the malevolence. The fact that this Ahsoka is "new" is very interesting, which means it may not stick true to the story arc, and will instead be season 3 Ahsoka. Had I chosen the mini-figures, I probably would have replaced Anakin & Battle Droid with CW Padme & a Firefighter droid. Jabba's Palace: You know, while many express how they love this set so far, I'm not too convinced. What I do like, is how almost all of the mini-figures are not any of the main heroes. The overall build and set doesn't impress me so far, but the mini-figures will be really good. I'll decide depending on final images. As a whole: This wave doesn't do it for me. It is looking better already than the January wave, but there are still many aspects to be improved on. We haven't seen anything from CW S4 or any phase II clones this year. Unless there will be an exclusive S4 set, we won't see any until mid-way through S5, which is a terrible marketing choice by Lego. I would much rather have seen a couple of CW sets replace TOR ones, because after finishing the game, people will probably forget about it, unless there are more TOR games. And TCW sets we do have, just aren't impressive except for the inclusion of Even Piell. The OT sets look ok, but I think they would have worked better with the ROTF 3-D release. As of now, I will definitly get both CW, Gungan Sub & Desert Skiff. -

Yeah, but the season 3 ones do not have FULL red arms as I said. Their stripes only go from shoulder to elbow, S4 goes from shoulder to glove. As for them being "different", wrong again. TCW producers had not developed phase II variations of the pilot & ARF clones before "Mercy Mission" and therefore they are both still phase I. This is evident in several images of the ARF... -

The ARF is not based on the version from season 3 as I posted a while back. If it was based on the season 3 version, it would not have fully striped arms. The version the mini-figure is based on comes from season 4 episode 5 titled "Mercy Mission". Found some new images from the next episode! Looks like it could be a good episode, but Obi-Wan getting humiliated for the third episode running is just way over the top, it's now as if Obi-Wan's existence is just to be tortured, and he is my favorite Star Wars character... http://starwarsunderworld.blogspot.com/2011/12/star-wars-clone-wars-escape-from-kadavo.html -

It seems the Clone Wars Season 4 finale of "Brothers" & "Revenge", indeed the Darth Maul & Savage Opress episodes will reference or be referenced by a young adult novel coming on new year's day titled "Star Wars: The Wrath of Darth Maul". Here's a quote from the book: "Your legs?" "That scum took it." "The Jedi…you remember. I've brought a gift for you." "For me? Food?" "No. Something to regain your memory." ―Savage Opress is reunited with a near-mad Maul and presents him with a talisman from Mother Talzin It also said Maul will use the cybernetic legs from the EU in TCW... -
