Who wants to look at the Arkham comic when....
sam89 replied to reideen1313's topic in LEGO Licensed
From what I've heard, there are three pirsion cells inside the central building. Well, it's a little bit smaller than I expected, but that's a good thing IMO, since I don't have much space. The piece count is still very high though. What does everyone think the price will be? $70? That would be about -
Well, the set does still have around 650 pieces, even with the large pieces. There's 21 decals in total. The stickers defintely don't seem as prominent as they do on the large mechs and didn't take up as much as the build. It cost

Roaring Roadsters + Mythical Creatures @S@H in USA
sam89 replied to Mithrandir's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
The Spongebob and Avatar sets are up as well in the US: http://shop.lego.com/leaf.asp?cn=246&d=7&t=3 http://shop.lego.com/leaf.asp?cn=245&d=7&t=3 -
I might be able to post a pic later (maybe tomorrow), but that's not a promise ;-) EDIT: Actually, here are some pics of one from one of the Avatar sets: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=1763219 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=1763220 The one from the SV is exactly the same, except see-through instead of black.

No, he clips straight onto the top of the model. His "arms" are the gattling guns.

OK, I've finished building (about 1 hour 25 minutes). Here's my review. First, here's some general pics of the set: This thing is VERY impressive, and absolutely HUGE. It's also suprisingly durable and stays in the position I've put it on my shelf with not much problem (see pic below). Here's a pic of the middle section: The two robots plugged in look pretty cool. The Gattling guns on top can be moved by turning a piece on the bottom. The silver robot's eyes light up using the light brick. The disk shooter works pretty well, you pull back on a tab on the back and it fires one, and then the rest drop down. Here's a pic showing the robots being lowered to ground level to battle: Meca One (without legs) inside the cockpit: And here's some comparison pics to show you its size: Figs: 9/10 (6 bronze robots, Meca One and silver robot - point deducted for Meca One's missing legs) Set: 10/10 Playability: 9/10 FINAL SCORE: 9.3/10

I've finished the set and taken the pics, the review should be up in about hour. This set is HUGE! I might take a picture of it on my shelf to show just how big this thing is.
-
Believe me, you don't want to 8-|
-
I don't think the robots can fit in the cockpit with legs. Their legs can't fold at a 90 degree angle, so they can't sit down. This is probably why LEGO chose to give the Meca One figure no legs. Meca One does come complete in the Sentai Fortress though.
-
It's only the guns on top, the silver robot and the disk shooter that rotate, not the whole body. And here's something that's likely to disappoint a few people: Meca One doesn't come with legs. His body clips straight into the cockpit. This would be fair enough, if the back of the box didn't show him with legs . . .

I couldn't find a good thread to put this is, so I put it here. http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=139093701&size=l This photo shows the Arkham Asylum comic. Now, you can harldy see anything, but one detail you can make out is: Batman has a GLIDER!

Ok, I'll compare it against one of the mechs ;-)

I should have it done by Monday.

Looking through the instructions, this set looks pretty awesome. The middle section (especially underneath it) is a lot more complicated than it appears. Also, interestingly, Meca One isn't in the instruction booklet, even thugh he comes with the set. The instructions just show another bronze coloured robot.
-
Well I reckon it'll be on S@H by then, but I'm not sure about retail.
-
OK, here are the box pics: Front Back Flap opened
-
I've taken the pics, they should be uploaded in 5-10 minutes.
-
Well I could take pics of the box (Front, back and under the flap at the front).
-
I popped into the LEGO Shop at Bluewater (UK) today and they had the Striking Venom! They didn't have any other Mid-2006 sets, not even the other Exo-Force sets. I should have a review up by Monday.
-
LEGO provided extras so you can stick them on you own Batman MOCS, or on other things.

I remember seeing that a while back. It as from the same source that bought us the first pics of Battle at the Pass, so I would say it was real.

They're not available at the moment though :-( -
I like this set. I'll probably get it when it comes out in the UK.
