  1. Do you mean another than the one I mentioned above?
  2. I really liked the design of Bricked1980's Brick Square Post Office, but thought it would look too much out of place next to other modulars, because it is also VERY Brtitsh. But it wouldn't look out of place any more... ;-) https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-22101/Bricked1980/brick-square-post-office/#details I saw a reviewer on Youtube mentioning that it was quite expensive to part out though. He spent a whopping 1100 pounds on parts!!!
  3. I really don't get what people have against the Jazz Club. I really like it, the whole night club entertainment vibe. It's in my top 5 actually. Parisian Restaurant has been my number 1 for years. But this new one has a fighting chance to take the top spot. The most convincing evidence (to me at least) that this is the real deal, is that it features the new flower elements introduced in the Ideas Botanical Garden. It seems very unlikely to me that a MOC builder would have already incorporated these pieces in such a way. Not impossible, but unlikey.
  4. I just saw Bricksie's latest video and solves that question. It looks better next to the 3 in 1's, but still looks small...
  5. Same year as the Cafe Corner. ;-) Time sure flies...
  6. The Botanical Garden is the real bonus modular. The scale is absolutely perfect and the details (both interior and exterior) are amezing! It's missing the light bluish gray curb, lamppost and pins, but that's more a positive than a negative. It's better to build a park around it, than to place it in a street next to other builidings. Ironically the same could be said for the X-Mansion: it would function better as a standalone. That one has the connectivity, but it only detracts from the building. I would be curious to see it in a Creator 3 in 1 lay-out. It would propably look quite alright next to the 'mini-modulars' and/or as a achool next the 3 in 1 houses. The sclae of one of the alternate builds from set 4954 come to mind.
  7. I think the Daily Bugle out of all the Marvel Modulars scales the best with the core modulars, because of the height of the floors. It's the only one out of those sets that I own and (as a bonus) it pairs very nicely with the Modular Construction Site from the BDP for an intersting downtown skyline. Even though it only has four floors, it has a real presence, without overwhelming the other buidings. I also have the original Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown and that building scales a lot better to the likes of a Pet Shop and Book Shop. Although I had to alter the details to make make it more polished and 'prettier' next to the other modulars.
  8. That's the exact reason why I didn't get the Sanctum: the floors are way too short, the scale is completely off. Same thing seems to be the case here with the new Marvel 'modular'. I too find the exterior on the X Mansion way too plain. At least the Sanctum had a more detailed exterior.
  9. Just checking. I didn't get the impression you implied it was a modular. I just couldn't figure out straight away which set you were referring to. ;-) The second line was supposed to be a new post (not a reply to your message), but the messages got automatically merged.
  10. Gorillas? Do you mean the Jungle Explorer Helicopter? As far as 'real' modulars go: Brick Cross Station also will be shipped in a couple of weeks to those who pre-ordered. The last modular compatible building from the BDP...
  11. I saw the video, but I was wondering if he is the only one reporting the date change or have there been other sources as well. He is usually pretty well informed but I always thought that he picked up information from other online sources for his video content.
  12. I was hoping the change was permanent, in order to take advantage of the Holiday season. On the other hand realeasing the new modular after Christmas has it's advantages. If, like me, you want some big Icons/Ideas set for Christmas, you'll buy one for Christmas to scratch that itch and then on January 1st you'll buy the modular. Double profit for Lego. If the modular would be released on December 1st I'd be less inclined to make a major purchase on January 1st.
  13. Yep, saw this too. What is the basis for this rumor? Has this changed date been posted on other fora as well?
  14. Good to know, thanks!
  15. So are the set numbers wrong then? Will Big Ben be set 10252?
