REVIEW: 71023 LEGO Minifigures - The LEGO Movie 2 Series
Mark Kay replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Just managed to find an unopened box in Asda(Hull), took the whole of the left hand side. Ended up with 19 unique figures, just missing Scarecrow. Got two golfers! Quite pleased with that and the figures are excellent. -

That wouldn't cause all the blockiness round the numbers. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

It's a fake, just blown the picture up in photoshop, look at the last zero in the number, its not straight and all that pixelation! Close but no cigar! -
And I was so looking forward to this. Definitely not worthy of the Creator Expert tag. Looks hideous.

new REVIEW: New LEGO Store - Leicester Square, London
Mark Kay replied to Pandora's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Great review. Visited on opening day and found it too overcrowded. Went again today and they were limiting the numbers going in. It was much better, managed to get a few pictures and came away very happy. Having said that I thought actual product availability was poor, in Technic none of the recent(bucket loader, claas xerion) flagship models were available nor were they on show. This surprises me greatly. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

For my money, I think we're going to get some kind of courthouse with civic square in front of it. The courtroom would fit in well with the 'story' from the last few modulars, this would see the criminals who stole the cookies and did the money laundering would get their just deserts. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

I have hopes that this ultimate modular will be like the creator expert train of many moons ago that came with multiple instructions for various models. You couldn't build them all at once but all the parts were provided. Imagine that in a modular, it would certainly drive people to multiple purchases. -
Toying with ordering a couple of the modulars. I notice that when you select an item you are forced to select 'without packaging' before you can add to basket. Do none of the sellers actually supply boxes? Do you just get the loose bricks packed together with an instruction booklet?

Which supplier have you been using please?

Looking forward to this. For those complaining that it doesn't fit on a truck(allegedly) don't be too disappointed. Having spent many year working on fairgrounds only the older type wheels build/pack directly to one or two trucks. In the modern era of 'Sun wheels' they usually have to be packed on three or four and usually are built from the floor rather than the back of a truck.. I'm sure the master builders out there will come up with a few MOC's of this!

Hi all, well after thirty years I've finally come out of the dark ages. Bought a few of the modulars and had great fun building them, never knew Lego had changed so much and boy all those building techniques! Anyway, the wife and I (didn't think she would be so easily be converted), have decided to bricklink the GG. Going to do it in sand blue as this seems the cost effective. What are folks replacing the1x3 sand green with seeing that you can only get 1x1 bricks in sand blue? And is there anything else we need to watch out for? Thanks Mark
