I have just started on level 2 of the Cafe Corner that I brick linked, and the pdf instructions are really hard to make out with the dark colours. Trying to find alternative instructions but looks like only the official lego .pdf can be found. Any tips?

Has anyone got a photo of the Cafe Corner using the 20 x 1x2x3 panels with side support (the cheaper part) and also the 1x4x3 Window frame instead of the expensive 2x4x3 frame?

And Town Hall showing again Sold Out...it's jumping about a lot. I guess there are crawling around the factor floor sweeping up the spares!

Town Hall is now showing 'Out of stock, expected ship date 18 Nov 2014' in the Lego.com.au store. I just picked it up as well at full price. Not sure if I should be happy I finally have it, or annoyed that it's staying around and I could have got it with VIP point and Bonus sets, or discounted locally. ​Such is life and rumours!

Thanks heaps for the tip. I'm trying not to change to much from the original, although I might go for the part linked above with glass. The only other change I might make is using a combination of 1x6 + 1x4 to replace the outrageously expensive 1x8 sand green!

I purchased some parts for my Green Grocer from the BnP lego site and three pieces have been placed on backorder for a few weeks. The Window 1x2x3 Train (4 pieces), the 1x4 Viking Snakes Pattern (3 pieces) and the Bar 6.6l (2 pieces). I was surprised I could place an order on the first 2, but now as these are on backorder I'm thinking do they just sit there forever without any hope they will ever be delivered, or is there hope? Don't really want to add the window to my brick link list as they are very expensive via brick link and very cheap by BnP btw - any option for a cheaper window ?

Hi samlr, I'm starting to buy a few of the large rare sets from a guy I meet on GumTree, every time I meed him in a random car park I feel like I'm buying drugs! So now I call him me dealer. I often image the cops listening to his phone and trying to work out which Lego sets match which drugs!! lol

For those who have subbed the 1x8 Sand Green with either 1x4's and/or 1x6's and/or 1x2's Sand Green Brick, what quantity of each did you use?

MAB this is exactly what has happened now! And I'm a little unhappy as I'm in Australia and I'm paying $15 postage. The rare items are still showing as backorder, so I called tonight to cancel the whole order and I was told that the remainder is already being picked so I can't cancel, and those back ordered parts are discontinued! I've also checked my credit card statement and the have still charged for the full order amount even though the majority of the cost of for backordered/discontinued parts. Maybe I should have stuck to BrickLink!

How long usually till they tell me if they won't be able to supply it?

Thought it best to introduce myself, I'm Matt from Ipswich, QLD Australia. I used to be a fan of Lego as a kid, although I never gained too many sets and used to play with my cousins. Fast forward 30ish years and the Lego bug has bitten. I was initially interested in Technic as that was most what I purchased as a kid. My first purchase as an AFOL was the technic 42022 HotRod - I purchased this set as it was cheap and a good test run to see if i still enjoyed Lego. I then moved on and purchased the 42024 Container-Truck and was becoming hooked. I then discovered another world of Lego and purchased the 21108 Ghostbusters-Ecto-1 as I was a fan of the movie. Soon after I build the 10220 Volkswagen-T1-Camper-Van and absolutely loved the build and detail. Since then I discovered modular building and want them all! My first and only modular at the moment is the 10218 Pet Shop, although I have started to source a few pieces of the Green Grocer via BL and will keep on sourcing the parts till I have them all. I'm also currently building the 42030 Volvo-L350F-Wheel-Loader and also loving this build.

I just placed my first order with Bricks and Pieces and was surprised to see some rare items at a very low price compared to BL as some have mentioned above. The items showed in stock when I placed the order, and then shortly after I recived an email advising the item was out of stock so could be delayed. Question is, does this happen often and should I be concerned I won't get the part as I'm sure it's retired? Or do they often stock up rare parts?
