I don't think they even get the money until we confirm the item was received, so I don't see the point in scamming. Probably just trying to buy time for shipping. -

They were probably lying and didn't send it out the first time, but now there is a small chance we'll end up with two sets. I'll be happy if I just get the set I ordered within the next two weeks. -

The tracking has never worked for me until the item enters the US and I can track it on the US Postal Service site. I wouldn't worry yet. -

Definitely a missed opportunity, but those are still kinda cool. I won't be buying them, though, I would if they were characters that made sense to be transparent. -

Nice, I tried doing the online chat last night, but I didn't get a reply before I had to leave the house. I feel better now. Did you guys notice the new wolverine headpiece? .. At least it seems to be different than the Lego or Decool mold. SY really stepped their game up with new molds in this wave. -

It is a gamble, but I think the pictures are just arranged in fours. There is no option to pick a particular set of four within each listing, so I think you get all the figures shown :/ . The $16 one is the only one that shows all 16 figures. The $10 ones are each a different combination of 8 figures. Fingers crossed I don't get screwed on this, but at potentially a buck a figure, I'll take the risk. Who is the character in the molded black mask, btw? -

tkkim79, where did you find the pictures for those Heroes Assemble sets? I can't wait for those. -

So many good characters, but they are going to be so terrible :(... maybe it will get Decool or SY on the ball, though. -

Thanks! I'm glad you guys like it. It's not quite as pretty from the back, but the parts I messed up on kinda work only because Groot is supposed to be wood. I removed the head from the original torso with a Dremel cutting wheel, and, from there, I trimmed up the neck with an X-acto. If you look at some of the pics I added to my Flickr ( https://www.flickr.c...in/photostream/ ), you can see a part where I cut too much and made a little gap. You have to be careful, because the head is not solid. Some parts of the plastic where I trimmed got discolored, so I heated them a little with a lighter to get them back to about the original color/sheen. In order to fit the head on a minifig torso, I drilled a hole with an 1/8' bit (I had to wobble the hole out a little after I drilled the first hole to make it fit properly). This will probably be the trickiest step for most. Again, because the head isn't solid, you have to be careful. It's really not easy to drill exactly where you want because the bit is going to want to go into one of the gaps that is already there. I had the drill on a high speed and went really slowly (with the head held in a clamp for safety). I honestly think i just got lucky with how good the angle ended up being. Also, Digger318 added a bunch of video reviews. -

I finally got around to modding my Groot. The head is a little too big, but I'm pretty happy with how he turned out. -

I discovered this when I tried to replace Magneto's legs because their color was off. -

Oh, come on! Someone does a mashup up Grumpy Sparrows and transformers with custom molds, but I can't get a Legend of Zelda set? What has the world come to? Seriously, if anyone makes a decent LoZ set, I will buy no fewer than 5 sets... Those Grumpy Sparrows transformers are awesome in their ridiculousness, though. -

Those are Decool, aren't they? Either way, they are about the best you'll find in bootleg. -

We can all hope for better. I'm just saying that Groot isn't enough to get me to buy another GotG set, as I was fully planning on doing. Decool made some awesome custom molds for the league of legends line, and I would love to see more stuff like that. -

I'm kinda disappointed in that Groot. I was really hoping for a new head mold, and the leg print seems very odd. It looks like they took a screen shot of the legs of the brick - built Lego Groot and printed it on. .. very strange decision. -

I was wondering about Bela figures as well. If you look closely, Spider-Man doesn't have a spider on his chest and captain America had a weird four- point star. I looks like they were worried about trademark infringement, but just barely. -

That's what I'm hoping for. If you look at the far right side of that picture you can see a little bit of brown that could be a hand. It looks like it would be at tall - minifigure height, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. -

I just really want to see the last figure in that SY GotG set... well, that's far from the only thing I want, but I want to see what they came up with for Groot, if it is him.
