Thank you for your feedback. I have tried the 'disappearing' baseplate yesterday and i have to say it works well. Thanks for the input soccerkid, i think you are right. I have tried this last weekend, what in fact, looked better. For the people who advised me to use bricklink, i have tried this and WOW, what a discovery. I ordered already for quite some parts and currently looking for the flags.

A Nice build, and what an army! One question though, what is the purpose of those bricks as seen on the last two photos at the top level?

Thank you for your advice on the camara work. I'll try for any upcoming build to make daylight pictures, I am pretty sure that will help to make the lightning and shadows better. Also the background is indeed something to work on, I will give it some attemps. Thank you for your time to give some feedback. I agree with you that the tree looks blocky, something I need to work on. I bought a creator set today, which gave me some nice additonal pieces that i could use and i will try bricklink very soon. Many thanks for your time to give me feedback. I will try adding more bricks as soon as possible, so i can do more detailed builds. I will work one the tips you gave me and indeed you are right, water should be lower. Thanks to all who gave some of their time to help this newbie with some tips! It is really appreciated!

Being in rule for just a few weeks, Joachim had already ordered to fortify the borders. Not only came this in handy to register who was coming in and who was leaving, but it also was a nice way to collect money via toll. The garrison was stationed at a borderpost for 2 weeks and was replaced afterwards, to ensure they won't be corrupt. This is my first freebuild. I would like to become a way better builder than I am nowadays, so any comments and especially critics are welcome. I do know already i should used more tiles, but as I have a very, very small collection at this moment, I do not own such pieces.

Book II - Avalonia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Grinsebar replied to Rogue Angel's topic in Guilds of Historica
Without asking further questions, I will introduce you to my sigfig. If i may introduce you to Lord Joachim IV of Schulaburg, born 21 winters ago. Son of Godewald II from Kernsusa and Hadewijch from Raesfelton. Lord Joachim was born as the oldest child of a minor lord somewhere in Avalonia. Despite being the oldest son, he would not inherit his fathers land. His father had, to ensure a better future for the family, made up a marriage between a richer lord and Joachims oldest sister Hedewig. This marriage would give their estate to the man of Hedewig. The future for Joachim did not look that bright in his view, being a lord without land... To try making a small fortune, Joachim sold his quality's as a knight to some Nocturnus lords. Not only did he make a quite some money out of this, but he also was gifted a strong Nocturnus battle horse by some grateful lords. Being home for a while some months ago, a messager ran in. He told Joachim that his uncle had passed and left his entire estate to Joachim. Altough Joachim was sad about the news that his uncle passed, he was more than happy he had finally some land. As Joachim traveled with this messager to the lands of his Uncle, he learned that is was cald 'Schulaburg' bordering to Midgardia and Varlyrio. Eager to start ruling his lands, he know he still has a lot to learn. For the last two months, he had be studying to history and his people and now it is the time to start ruling. The land of Schulaburg I would like to claim if possible: Not sure if that set hits the stores here the coming months, but it looks very interesting although expensive indeed. -

Aaah, good to hear i am not the only one ;) Sandgreen troops i have, so that should do the trick. Thank you for your help! I still have to try bricklink, but this seems like a good time to use it. Ofcourse there are more parts in a set i could use ;) since i only own 6 sets in Total, some extra bricks would not hurt. I will sent you a message by then if i haven't found out how to bricklink. Thank you for your kindness! -
Book II - Avalonia: Guild sign-up and Discussion

I am not sure if this is the right topic to ask.. But having read the GoH forum for some months, I would like to join in. As i most liked the style of Avalonia, I would like to sign up here. The only problem is I do not own 'flags' (in any colour that is). I tried brickbuilding flags, but it seems that the 'lime' green From some creator sets are not the 'sand' green i was looking for to build a flag. Anyone that knows a set easy avaible with the colour sandgreen in it? -
Hello there, My name is Alex and as you might have guessed from the topic title, I am from The Netherlands. I have a national parc as My garden and walk there almost every day to think about new Lego MoC's. I do not own many lego's, because i was stupid enough to sell it all to My uncle when i was around 14. Now almost 10 years later, i started to do some building again. And got addicted right away (again). Main interest for buildings are castle/medieval themes. Especially building my towns local history. If there is anything you want to know, feel free to ask me! Greetings, Alex
