I gave up on Aliexpress sellers and worrying about whether they are listing pre-orders or not. I prefer the Ebayers that I've dealt with before. They sell stuff that is on hand, and I know they are reliable.

Ha...I just saw that too. They "reviewed" JLB and Bom Bom...two of the worst brands! It made me laugh.

Got the Sy255 Hulk set today. Aside from the typical accessories that make me laugh -- "Hulk angry about this wrench and hammer" -- the plastic felt cheaper than the normal SY stuff, and the pieces fit together kind of tight ( maybe because of the plastic ). They still look cool! I just was a little disappointed in the "feel" of the plastic and the figures.

They do. I just got the Lele Big Hero 6 set, and they have the Wang World base plate too. When I see them, I immediately think "Wayne's World". "Wang world! Wang world! Party time! Excellent!" I don't know Chinese, but Wang may mean "king" or something like that.

Transparent + LeLe = potential for really really crappy figs.

For any newbies to this thread, here is my opinion (from best to worst) of knockoff brands I personally own. I don't have any DLP brand yet, but based on the previous post, it sounds like they would fall into the first category. From best to worst, I personally find things fall into 4 categories. Your mileage may vary, since sometimes it's potluck when getting these figures. (In general, the best) SY (Sheng Yuan) Decool (Pretty good stuff. Elephant did my all time favorite figures - the Iron Man mashups of other superheroes) Elephant Doll (Sometimes loose arms/legs. Dargo has better printing than Lele) Dargo Lele (Pretty awful. More frequent loose arms/legs, and ill fitting pieces. Print quality not great) JLB (Jia Li Bo) LEBQ (Le Bao Quan) IQ CB

Got the latest SY Iron Man wave (the one with Iron Lantern) today. I am happily snapping them together!! They seem very nice. More Iron Menses for my bootleg display!

Elephant figures are decent. I just recently got the Iron Man stuff they did. They fall below SY and Decool in quality of plastic, but they are above everyone else IMO. The printing is pretty good as well. LEBQ are all awful. They do seem to clone other clone sets, but they definitely are NOT as good as the original clones (yes, I just said that).

My order of the 16 SY figures from Superblocks finally arrived today. I originally placed the order on 1/2/15. It was resent on 1/23/15. It arrived yesterday in the US, and was delivered today. I will confirm the order to release the funds to the seller, but I will never order from them again. I think I'll stick with the Ebay sellers I am familiar with.

The wacky Iron Man sets are showing up on Ebay. I ordered mine. I paid a little more than I wanted to, but now I won't be online searching for them every day!! So it's worth it! But, just as a reminder to everyone...Chinese New Year starts today. In many cases, anything you order from sellers over in China may not actually ship out for 2 weeks. The seller on Ebay I use the most even sent me a note letting me know that he is on vacation for 2 weeks for Chinese New Year.

Digger posted a pic on his Facebook that he found those wacky Iron Man sets in his shopping. So I am hoping the sets start popping up on Ebay and AE soon.

My SY Iron Man set from MRF hasn't shipped yet either. I looked at that same set from other sellers, and most say it will ship in 10-15 days. It seems they are still waiting for those figures to arrive. That Iron Man set is crazy cool! I keep looking on AE and Ebay, but haven't spotted them yet.

I got the same message from him. I agree...I'm trying believe he is just a new seller and is having some issues. But, at least, he is communicating about it. I have heard nothing from a different seller about the new Iron Man wave that I ordered at the same time. Someone else here mentioned that wave and it sounds like SY hasn't even shipped them out yet. So, even though that order was supposedly shipped, I assume the sellers are still waiting to get the products. So I don't expect to get either the new Iron Man wave, or the 16 different superheroes, any time soon. Oh well. And, yes, the sellers don't get the money until either A) we punch the button on the order screen saying we successfully received the items, or B) the purchase protection period runs out and no claim is filed. I had a problem with 1 seller so far (out of about a dozen different orders from different sellers). I filed a claim...and went back and forth with the seller a few times and got nowhere. i pushed the button on the claim screen saying I wanted to escalate the claim. I got my money refunded and the seller eventually came back and said they had addressed my package wrong (twice). They forgot to put the street address on the package...which is kind of an important part of the address for a package going to the US. The only way I could see scamming work for them is if a bunch of people don't get their items and they don't file a claim to AliExpress with the allotted time period. Because at the end of the purchase protection time period, the money is automatically released to the seller. And I understand the need to release the money like that because I am sure not everyone bothers to go in and always confirm that they received their order in a timely fashion. That wouldn't be fair to the sellers. AliExpress even sends Email reminders when purchase protection is running out on something. I think overall it works pretty well. And these aren't life and death supplies coming to me. I can wait a little longer.

Same here. I have a message from them saying it was sent on January 7th. And that they had problems with China Epacket so they were going to send it China Post. Maybe whatever issues they were having, the tracking numbers were goofed up. I'm not worried yet...there is still 25 days left to file a purchase protection claim on my order.

For US Ebayers... it looks like hanmeimei is back. Prices are still going higher than I like. He has the 8 pieces with Galactus, Phoenix, yellow Deadool, etc. I already ordered those from AliExpress...but at least it's a good sign seeing him back.

I'm having my first difficulty with an AliExpress seller. And a problem with the website. The tracking information for an item I purchased shows it bounced around for a few days, then it was flagged as "insufficient address". The package appears to have ended up in the "dead letter" room somewhere in the US Postal Service. I opened a dispute before the time ran out on AliExpress, and typed a message to the seller as part of opening the dispute. The dispute opened, but the message actually sent to another seller. I am dealing with that confusion now. Of course, I guess the seller could have multiple accounts, and the messages maybe all go to a single account. I don't know. But it's not very clear what happened. Previously, I placed about 12 orders on AliExpress with no problems (other than some slow delivery times). And I have a couple orders yet to be shipped. I'm not complaining. It is what it is...a bit of a gamble in my mind. I only order with pre-paid Visa cards because I don't trust them enough to use a regular card. And I agree with what someone else said, the Ebay prices are a little high now-a-days. I consider myself lucky I don't live near a store like in this picture that sells so many figures. I would probably go there every day looking to see if anything new showed up.
