  1. I was recently reviewing LEGO catalogues from 1999, 2000 and similar period of time and I reminded my feelings about sets from these years. I was very disappointed. Sets were very poor and not smart comparing to the other years. This problem touched all the themes (Town, Technic and others). The kind of harmony in sets and "LEGO way" disappeared in this period. Launching the Lego Scala (dolls) was also a great mistake. For me Lego Scala is actually not the LEGO, the spirit of LEGO does not exist there. Fortunately LEGO changed this wrong way after a few years and now the general image is very good (however it could be better if less stickers and more universal parts were used). What is your opinion about these "dark years" and what is a reason of it? Examples of LEGO sets from 1999 (and similar):
  2. Yes, I think about something similar to 8043 or just 420006 but fully remote controlled.
  3. Can I build remote controlled excavator (based on 42006) with PF I have? What do you think?
  4. Great review! I mostly agree! I have this set and this is probably the best set of Technic ever. Many people complain about the steering and using of the servo motor. I can't agree with them. Although it is pretty jerky it is very efficient and functionality of steering is very good. One great Scandinavian company inspired of the product of the another great Scandinavian company and we have this great set!
  5. Thank you for suggestions! I'll also check the site you recommend. When you will figure out something else, write, please:)
  6. Hello, I am wondering what I can make from my LEGO Technic sets. I am looking for suggestions. When I was a kid and a teenager I was playing mostly with LEGO City and some other non-technic sets, however I had some technic sets, too. About 2 years ago my return to LEGO began. However now I focus on Technic sets. I have a lot of non-technic parts and parts from 1-2 medium old technic sets. Apart from that I have got following technic sets, which I was buying in recent time. I have: 8110 (Unimog): 42002 (hovercraft): 42006 (Excavator): 8293 (Power Functions): 42030 (Volvo Excavator): Can I build from these sets any interesting constructions? I thought about motorized, remote controlled excavator. I am moderately experienced LEGO builder and little experienced technic builder. What do you think, any suggestions?
