  1. That is an amazing build!
  2. That looks fantastic and as others have said, making it a dead-end is really clever idea.
  3. I was looking into another way of paying so i could still buy some, as WU is advised against by many reputable organisations. I realise Edmond's estimates are based on sealed sets, but it'd be rather pointless leaving them sealed, so to the buyer the wrapping has no real value. The plates are much cheaper on both BL and eBay individually or in sets without the wrapping. Another reason why posting your own estimate (even a rough one) could make a sale easier/more likely.
  4. I just read about you not accepting paypal, so i'll pass on these. All the best Matt
  5. That's a really good first attempt. Look forward to seeing future models from you.
  6. Hey, Looks fantastic so far. I'd certainly go for Harbour as even on the outskirts, the airport would be too noisey for your residents ;)
  7. Would 6 sets of the T-Roads be enough? I can't PM just yet, any chance you could message me a rough valuation. I find offers tend to be drawn out back and forth, where generally a ballpark figure at the start would have been much quicker. Matt
  8. Excellent model. Would be great to see it realised in bricks.
  9. See now when i read the first post i was mentally preparing a reply to ask what type of checkout was needed and what sort of features needed to be coded. I'm so used to all the web-forums. I'm so glad i read the above responses first ;) DHCP's trolley is similar to what i used to use, though mine was much less refined and more blocky.
  10. What sort of things are you looking for and what exactly do you have? I prefer the town/city stuff but have been given various space and castle stuff over the years
  11. At this moment in time i'm listening to Maia Sharp. Heard her on the Bob Harris show and bought a couple of her albums.
  12. That's a really nice layout. Agree with those above, there is a lot of green space, so using some of it for a field should be good.
  13. I'd be interested in all the straight and curve plates. What would shipping be like for UK? Matt
  14. Wow, i saw the first page dated Feb and thought i'd have missed this, but its still going and the front page list is current. As with above user i can't see any PM button here or in user's profile, so... What would shipping/cost be for the following to UK: 1247 Patrol Car 1,50 euro 1252 Shell Tanker 5 euro [sticker peeling] 1254 Shell Convenience Store 10 euro [sticker peeling] 1256 Shell Service Station 10 euro [sticker peeling] 2554 Formula 1 Pit Stop 7,50 euro 6546 Slick Racer 2,50 euro 6625 Speed Trackers 3,50 euro 6649 Street Sweeper 2,50 euro 6676 Mobile Command Unit 7,50 euro Regards Matt
  15. Hi all, I'm Matt currently in England's west midlands. Always loved lego and having moved back to my parents place i've been selling off most of the stuff i'm never going to use from my childhood. This is pretty much everything except my star wars and lego sets. Despite this i've got no interest in Star Wars lego ;) I've always said that should i reach an actual retirement age you wont find me sat in a loft pottering around with a train set, but taking over a room with a lego layout. More interested in Town and City sets as to me they are more realistic and everyday. Recently been looking at adding to my collection and was astounded to see the price of the new city sets these days, a quick scan of ebay didn't improve things much as used sets seem to be going for over £30 too ... Then i started looking at the compatible sets having previously picked up megablocks and there seems to be 2 downsides. Some of the 'replica' stuff is really ugly or oversized and several sets seem to be close to lego prices. Googled reviews on some of the replica brands and ended up here, so it wasn't all bad. Matt
