What the heck is this figure. Why does she look nothing like the movie? If anyone has any reference for any other outfit for her please share...

Maybe lego is afraid of a battle of Hogwarts specific set, cause it would feel like a bit like closure. Its also an event that could well be spread out across multiple smaller sets. For them to do the next big Hogwarts 'expansion' again 2022 with another pleasant "party" type theme.

That is a real shame, Lego did make the piece for robes in DA. It has the big fat collar/tie to fit with the scale of the shield torsos from the book sets.

The new great hall being "less detailed" to me sound more like, it is scaled down. in order for the "base"/chamber to take up larger space underneath. guessing that its mostly a display piece from the fornt, showing the larger rock with the castle and tower smaller on top. I am not a fan of the regressions... roofs turning back to green. school uniforms getting the shields on them. Not right for the films.

Size of hogsmeade context, size and detail shouldnt be an issue. 2018 great hall is 878 pieces hogsmeade is 851 pieces

Yeah that's a nice new mer-tail. several fins is mroe accurate to HP ones. Not spot on, but for lego it looks awesome. Hope we get some Merpeople, along with Karkaroff and ship

Lego keeps doing a certain scene accuracy thing MOST of the time. Leaves room for different versions at later times. I agree it seems a bit redundant, but in this case its kind of overshadowed by the quality of this figure.

I cant CONFIRM, but certainly looks like it.

If they really want to "go there" they could make movie 1-2 versions of their uniforms.

Lets cross our fingers that flitwick too has a new mold.

No reasn to doubt that is real. These book sets can't be all reused figures. Its particularly nice even the torso on that figure is new. That hat seems really fat though. Grey Dumbledore got fixed in the cmf with white hair, new mold and a skirt Mcgonnagal gets sorted with new mold and skirt If we're lucky we get a new Snape with new torso/leg print.

yes it does, things like that can change before release though. figures in the prelims seems to be a collection of already existing parts.

Here is what I'm going to do about what i find to be the issue with the QQS building. The two massive windows looks too cartoony and out of scale with everythign else in the set. reducing the size of the windows, dropping them lower down (like the movie) and adding a pair of smaller windows higher up. Wanted to have the windowboard(?) in dark tan but the piece does not exist in that color. the extra pieces needed for the window change are minimal:

the actual issue is the scale/detail level. im exploring some option of using more and smaller windows. more similar to scirbbulus.

Its none of the prominent death eaters, the graphics are based on one of the masks used in the film, but the light/dark colors have been swapped around. + the concept art for it.

With some of the 2018 ending production, it would have been a good opportunity to replace some of the figs in production... but it seems they keep getting carried forward in the book sets. Whoping willow and quittich set being finish could mean a new Snape going forward but it sounds like a nope.

well the mosaics to me are their own theme, license or not. These books is another initiative and i don't image they impact the normal sets much if at all. Of course they are what we have to discuss for now about 2021 but we still anticipate some exellence in june! Karkaroff! More types of sets mean more opportunities for minifigs. (if the books do well: flying lesson with hooch, defense against the dark arts with Lockhart, Divination with Trelawny and care of magical creatures with Hagrid.)

These sets are even more so targeted at younger kids, and Sprout gets legs so I'm not hopeful for a Mcgonnagall skirt

Hope he gets a new mold for his hair/beard. otherwise the Dwalin piece is the most fitting lego has made before. I do fear lego will use some existing ill fitting piece thought

^ jurassic torso is a hoodie, They did not wear a hoodie in those scenes.
