Things that changed Lego forever
Ravenclaw2010 replied to David Thomsen's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think that Toy Story changed LEGO for the worse. I think that the figures from Toy Story sets can hardly be called LEGO, because of all the new parts. Take Woody for example. He has longer limbs than normal figs, a nose, ears and his hat can't come off. And the Dinosaur(I don't know it's name) is just like a toy a child would buy on it's own, as you don't even build it. (I may have made a few mistakes, as I don't own any of the TS sets. Please correct me if I'm wrong about anything.) -

What's the best Minifigure ever made?
Ravenclaw2010 replied to Mr. Elijah Timms's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I like the Elsa minifigure from the Venice Canal Chase. She has great hair a nice face and a great torso. The Princess from Kingdoms and the Chewbacca figs are good, too. -
Review: 7985 Temple of Atlantis
Ravenclaw2010 replied to Etzel's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Wonderful Review, Etzel! The set is excellent. I love the building and the golden statue. The new evil sea creatures are great, too. Thanks for the review! -
All the Collectable Minifigures are spectacular(apart from a few, e.g. Crash Test Dummy), and it is hard to pick a favourite, but I have managed to choose 1 from each series- s1- Cheerleader(I still don't have her! )because of her great hair and pom-poms. s2- Surfer(I still don't have him either )because of his great hair, torso and surf-board. s3- Tennis Player(not out yet) because of that lovely ponytail piece in dark orange, great new tennis racquet and good torso. s4- Surfer Girl(not out yet) because of the great hair piece in light nougat, the pink surf-board and the pink wetsuit. What's YOUR favourite?

What is ypur favourite Harry Potter Set?
Ravenclaw2010 replied to BoThEr-MaN's topic in LEGO Licensed
My favourite set is either the 2010 version of the Hogwarts Express(because of all the figures we get(Luna Lovegood is my favourite), the flying car the chocolate frog and all the accesories) or the 2010 version of Hogwarts Castle(because of all the minifigures, rooms, accesories, new parts and the overall building). Although they are my favourite, I still love almost all of the other HP sets too. -
Great MOC! I love the birds, and personally, I think the original Hermione hair looks better than the one they use in the official sets. Your Lavendar Brown is exactly the same as mine! The room is great, and all the little details you have put in make it an excellent little scene. Well done!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 4 discussion

At my local Argos, all the good series 2 figs got sold out in like a week because they had written which figure was inside on the back of the bag, and there was a 3 for 2 offer on them. When they started doing this, theynstill had a few series 1 figures left,so I took one that said "magician" on the back, and guess what! It was a forestman, and I already had 3 of them! -

I don't see what's so good about the musketeer, I don't really like him. My favourites are the surfer girl, the giesha and the footballer. On Brickset, there's pictures of them all on their stands, and you can see that the giesha's hair has printing, and that the figure skater's hair is in a bun(I don't know if anyone's posted it yet, but I've only just found out about it!). -

Ok, thanks. I'm dissappointed that we got another skateboarder, and the figure skater's hair is ridiculous, but that aside, this series is the best! -

These look terrific! I love the surfer girl and the football player's hair(more nougat!) and the kimono girl is great. I don't understand what the girl in the blue dress and the blonde hair or the guy on the skateboard are meant to be, though. I love the artist's palette, and the silver trophy. I will definetely pick a few of these up when they come out. Thanks for the picture! -

Thank you! I also hope they make a Number 4 Privet Drive set with Harry, Vernon, Petunia and Dudley.

Lego Harry Potter Visual Dictionary
Ravenclaw2010 replied to metalgearsolid's topic in LEGO Licensed
I love LEGO Harry Potter, so I think this will be a good book. I hope the figure is really good, like a Ravenclaw person or something, but it will probably be Harry. I think it will be good to see the figs and sets in more detail. -

You are complaining that there is none in your area. What about the rest of the world? The USA is the only place that have them! The rest of the world want some series 3 minifigs too! -
I am a huge fan of both the books and the films. I love the characters, especially Luna and Xenophilius Lovegood. I love the LEGO sets because you can make your favourite scenes from the films/books, and it's great to have all the characters in LEGO form. I also love the sets because of the parts and colours. The only downside to the sets is that they are so expensive! I unfortunately still don't have any of the 2010 sets, but I plan to get them soon. Harry Potter is my favourite LEGO theme. P.S.- The Deathly Hallows part 1 is amazing!
