Heroica RPG- Quest #137: Where the Dead Go to Live
Asphalt replied to Kintobor's topic in The Heroica Archive
OOC: thanks for the info. Vindsal grimaces as he flicks the putrid waste from his eyes. Throlar Step up closer. You will do next to nothing to this fool from that far away, and he deals as much to you regardless of where you stand. The Witch looks from the blades in his hand to the Broom at his waste, considering a change in tactic. No best not do that yet. Let us put some venom in his veins first. First Strike Bifrost Blades from the Front Row Second Strike Bifrost Blades from the Front Row. -

OOC: Vindsval is immune to fragile. did you roll for reflected effect? Also, why is the ruling on his damage? Is it always full regardless of row? -

Vindsval watches the dwarf ready a bomb. You do realize there is only one man? Why throw a mob burner? -
This is an absolutely beautiful piece. Completely gallery worthy, I would love to see it on display.

Bigotted Fool, I will offer your head to the wanderer. Vindsval Attacks The Sniper With The Bifrost Blades from the Front Row Second Strike Sniper with Bifrost Blades from Front row OOC: If it is ok with LD I will go as leader for this battle. Battle Order 1. Throlar 2. Vindsval OOC: I am assuming that since you denote him as ranged that he will do full damage regardless of what row Vindsval is in. If so he stays attacking form front, if not I will move him to the back row. -

Vindsval watches the tiny man arc through the air. Who knew the mountain bound could fly? The Wanderer reveals many Wonders. -
Bwa ha ha ha. She will need to team back up with vibdsval just to have someone big enough to carry them all
-
Very exciting. Cannot wait.

Vindsval looks down at the shaft stuck in the ground at his feet and then up at the man standing on the rooftop. This must be the "Sniper" the guard mentioned. The man targeting the people of this town. Tell me Throlar, does a man who attacks traveller in the night, strike you as one who is in need of a lesson in manners? Vindsval looks up at the man in the wide brimmed hat. It would seem you wish to be set on your path to the next life. If this is your decision, allow me to guide you to its beginning. Vindsval Draws Verkenner from its scabbard on his hip, spins it in the air above his palm, and with a flick of his hand, sends it flying at the Sniper. -
And the prediction is confirmed.

I am a very recent addition, but I would hope a positive one. My FIRST anniversary is tomorrow, and I have loved every day I have been able to be a part of this awesome game.

interesting. guess it has been a while since I looked into it.
-
I haven't even heard rumors.
-
It took me a minute, but I eventually nailed it down. I enjoyed all of them. The audio books are especially well done. If you haven't checked them out you should.
-
Skullduggery pleasant reference? been meaning to ask since the first time you used it.

And who holds the Title? There seems to be a great deal of bad blood on both sides. What happened between the two of you? For two men to have that low of an opinion with one another it usually takes a woman to be involved. -

"Never underestimate the powers of subterfuge inherent in the Glade Born. They are nothing if not comfortable in their webs of information. So tell me Throlar, what history do you have with our two companions. I know of them only by reputation, but you seem well acquainted." Vindsval continues walking slowly with the dwarf, hoping to begin some conversation. He has travelled with the man before, but still knows very little about him. -
The old team is breaking up. But I am sure we will get the band back together someday. And Annie, don't forget to keep an eye out for a good automatic arm or two. Vindsval could use a prosthetic.

I feel splitting us into the living and unliving components of our party may be a mistake, but as you wish. Farewell, and let us hope we meet again soon. I am uneasy in this place of resentment and prejudices. Vindsval strides after Throlar and catches up to him in several steps. He moves up beside the angry little man and matches his pace. You shame both me and our history together Throlar if you would believe for a moment I would deign to take a woman's head without cause. However, I would have hoped that one with your diplomatic training would have been able to control himself in such a situation. We two especially are vulnerable here in this city of the dead. We can ill afford to make enemies out of those we meet. I do not doubt that we will have much opportunity for battle in this place. We need not go out of our way to find it. And in regards to that enforcer, well perhaps I have an idea that will satisfy both his and the young woman's ends. If you can hold your temper, perhaps we could discuss it on the way to the RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT But before we arrive there, please, try to keep your temper in check. We will already be viewed as outsiders by these people, do not antagonize them to violence without need. -

My father was a learned and well read being, even by the standards of Men. When one is viewed to be a beast at best and a creature of the nightmare pits at worst, it is well to be able to speak beyond what they view as my station. The farmer finds it harder to kill the beast who speaks. Vindsval gives the last with a fanged grin with mirth that reaches his eyes. -

There are those among the northern people who believe the ill humors and inner demons can be released through blood letting. Perhaps this will improve Throlar's manners. -

Vindsval steps between the dwarf and the elf, making a rather solid wall of flesh to keep the rat whisperer at bay. I apologize for my. . . companion. He rarely thinks before he speaks, or at all for that matter. I cannot pledge to you a guarantee of service in this matter, for we are also here on an urgent matter of our own with sever restraints on time, but who is to say where any of our paths may lead. Vindsval looks the Kobold up and down, trying to determine if the dwarf's cowardly blow caused him any injury. If Throlar has injured you in any way, please allow me to offer my services as a healer. You will feel better than the day you came of age in but a moment. -

Vindsval knuckles his forehead in a gesture of respect. "May the Wanderer guide both of your paths Milligorian and Gort. We too have come here on an errand regarding an errant woman. It would seem we have that much in common at the least. How long have you been in the city? Perhaps we have information that could benefit one another."
