copy/paste from FBTB :-$ I read about the DIE-Wing in one of the X-wing books, named so for its slow speed (Y-wing engines) and weak hull (TIE cockpit). I'm practically done with it, but I really want to have anyone's input on fixing a stability issue, along with constructive criticism. This pic shows (in the red circles) that the 1x6 plate isn't exactly aligned with connecting the cockpit to the engine: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/DarthAnd...IE-Wingv1/4.jpg This shows that as a result, the 1x6 plate bends (on both sides), meaning that the engines are also wobbily: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/DarthAnd...IE-Wingv1/3.jpg This was the only way how I could connect the engines to the cockpit, in addition to using pins. Though it isn't a huge issue, I'd prefer to have it more stable. :-/

@Hinckley: Is the selection of Star Wars sets in the Chicago stores any good (namely the TIE Crawler)? I may be going there in a few weeks.

I think it was two things: the carpet looks really soft, and because the snowtrooper was on its front left foot, it couldn't walk as easily. Still funny. :-D

I guess, but considering I wanted to squeeze in a bit of the area outside of the base (into the already limited 48x48 plate), you can't make a battle-ravaged hanger much more exciting. :-P EDIT: I do see your point, though. I think the first shot that shows an overview of the battle makes the whole thing look bare, but it looks better in the "action" shots. It would probably look better with a studless tile floor, though I have nowhere near the supply of 2x2 studless plates to support that. :-/ Nevertheless, thanks for all the comments so far, everyone! :-)

Question: mutley displayed the minifigs included in the set on a white baseplate. Is that baseplate included with the set? I am getting the impression that it isn't. 8-|

It's very possible; the Hoth Base is $59.99, and that's due to some more rare molds (those ice mound things). I would be in love if it does come with a plane. *wub*

Does anyone else think that the stormtrooper "battle pack" will be cheaper than (US) $9.99, unlike the current ones? I think that the dropship will be a tiny pod, and it will sell for no more than $6.99, possibly $4.99.

Obviously. If LEGO ever did print the "spider" on minifigs, there would be so much (uncalled for) public backlash. TLG are a bunch of Nazis. :-P

lol, everybody wants Nazi figs so bad (including me). :-D This should be interesting. I missed out on the Adventure series, so this is definently a great replacement, though like gosuke said, the sets could be lame. :-/

That's actually a MOC someone made ages ago. I wish it were real. :'-)

The prices of these sets are really disappointing me; they're just too expensive! I was hoping to get all the sets (excluding the Sith Infiltrator), but with these prices, I will have to drop either the Republic Cruiser or the MTT off my list. And I really feel sorry for the (majority) of all you Europeans who must even pay even more than the US dollar. :'-(
