  1. Welcome Brick Squad!
  2. I am totally looking forward to this documentary for some time now. For some more info about the docu, you could watch this interview: will be a great addition I think to: National Geographic Megafactory: Lego https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpO4EzVroys and AFOL a blocumentary M
  3. Everything what is not designed by Lego, Is a MOC for me. A copy of a MOC is just that, a copy. Pretending you designed something is lame. However drawing inspiration from excisting builds and other sources is encouraged, to learn, explore and eventually make your own creation :) Sharing MOC's and Ideas is something I really believe in, it helps others to become better builders, who eventually will give back to the Lego community. M
  4. Think it must be you, I have no problem accessing with my mobile internet and/or wifi. Maybe clearing caches etc. might help you.
  5. Fabuland should be in its own universe, as I kept it seperated from my other Lego in my younger days :) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lego_Fabuland
  6. The dirt is easy to get rid off, I put the Lego inside a textile bag and wash it just like clothes at 40 degrees. If an element is realy to "ugly" to use, I replace it with another. As for scratches, even pieces from brandnew sets can have them (minor ones) cause of the way Lego is produced and handled till it gets in your hands. I do understand your mindset in this and respect that. I guess the most important thing is that you are happy with the way you collect / build etc. Wish I had the mindset sometimes, to leave the Lego inside the box and keep it sealed, but I simply can't, I have to open the box and put it together for display. After a while some pieces of the model will be used in MOCs than at some point I turn the set into parts and use all of it for MOCs. Also sometimes I put the original set back together after some time when I want to look at it again. M
  7. I have no problem with buying used sets when they are complete and have the original instructions. Buying a MISB makes no sense to me, cause I would open it and put it together! :)
  8. The following sets also have this part: 371, 376, 670, 647, 682, 558, 353, 650, 381, 622. It was used untill 1980/1981, than they switched to the famouse headlight brick.
  9. Classic Space \O/ Architecture and Creator and Legoland / City etc.
  10. I don't like the licensed themes minifigs that much, specially a theme like the Simpsons. In my opinion it hurts the creativity. Those ugly minifigs don't mix well with the other people in my Lego Universe :)
  11. Welcome Dutch person :)
  12. Welcome Palixa :)
  13. Hi, today it struck me, that I have problems indentifying several minifigs, so I am wondering what means people use here to identify them. The Encyclopedia? Wiki? An app? I use a site like Basebrick at the moment, but it is painstaking to browse through all the themes when you have no clou where the minifig came from. Greets, Martend
  14. Hi, I'm not exactly new, just never came to it, to say hi, for a lot of reasons. With some more sparetime on hands, I revamp my great passion, Lego. But before start building again, I still need to sort a few bins with Lego and Inventory them in Basebrick :) Greets, Martend
