Actaeon relaxes, grateful that the battle is over. Seeing the loot, he says, "If no one else minds, I'd be happy with that helmet and a bit of gold."

Actaeon clenches his jaw, Am I the only one that can hit the dang scorpion? Actaeon says nothing, but repeats his attack.

Actaeon targets the scorpion torso from the back row with his bow.

Actaeon nods his head, "continue."

Actaeon shoots again from the back, this time at Spider B.

Actaeon grunts, annoyed that his shot didn't quite kill the vermin. Actaeon repeats.

Actaeon will attack Scorpion B, unless vind does, then he'll take A. Back row.

OoC: Sorry, been busy! Actaeon waits for the party leader's decision. In his mind, this seems like a simple decision that could be made without his help.

Actaeon's eyes widen quickly, "Oh I'm so sorry, I thought I said elk! I would never hunt an elf!"

"Well, for the first few years I kept to shooting targets. Eventually I was able to move onto deer and elf and the sort." Actaeon stares at the man in annoyance. "You are about as breath-taking as my grandmother," he says as he stares at him, "Less, actually."

Actaeon smiles as his three arrows find their mark. I forgot how good that can feel. Actaeon looks at the giant with brief indecision. He seems to be trying to reconcile, or at least keep the peace. At length, the ranger clenches his jaw, "Thank you." Good to know I don't look powerful or "blessed with skill", he thinks, annoyed by the giants backhanded-compliment. Actaeon smiles at the shy knight, "Not at all! I trained myself over the years. My father owned an inn, so whenever we had men staying in the area for hunting season, I would ask them to teach me. Most of the time they would just give me tips, but a few of them actually showed me how to shoot. With that little bit of training, I practiced every chance I had to become what I am now!" After looking at Annie's sword, he asks, "Where did you get the cutlass?"

Actaeon springs to action, aiming at the Axeman from the back row with his rito bow.

Actaeon stares back at the giant, unwavering. "Look, as intelligent as you sound with your diction and such, you lack wisdom. Next time, instead of threatening your own team, the people on your side, explain yourself like you just did to me. Trust me, you don't want division in your party, so be careful." Without giving the giant a chance to speak, Actaeon brushes past him and moves into the other conversation. "Actaeon Artus," he says, beaming, "It's a pleasure to meet you!" Quickly, he whispers into Warlen's ear, "The big guy is sensitive about his name, so lay off on his nickname for a bit, alright? It's stupid, I know, but it wouldn't be smart for us to make an enemy of him so early." Actaeon stands back slightly, but then, deciding at the last second to say one last thing, he leans back toward him, "We've got to watch each other's backs, alright?"

Actaeon glares at Vindsval watching the party leader carefully. I will not allow him to intimidate me or my friends with his size. No one has the right to threaten their fellow party member because of a simple nickname, Actaeon thinks. "Windy, would you like to introduce us to your friends?" Actaeon says with a smile.

Actaeon smiles genuinely and waves back to Annie. "I'm ready to leave When everyone else is."

Actaeon sighs and hands Warlen the scrolls. "Don't lose or damage them."

Skipping the formalities, Actaeon speaks up about the quest, "You would have only called in Heroica if there is something unusual or dangerous about the situation. What are we up against?"

Actaeon takes one last gulp of his drink before he sets it back on the bar and strolls out of the hall. Finally, some fun, he thinks, smiling dryly.

Actaeon smiles at the mage, "I think I'll just hold onto it for now. Thanks for the offer."
