Nooooo!!! Old Herrick is a deader. I felt it as it happened! Such as close friend was he. And always the careful one, but no protection spells to prevent this betrayal... My loss is heavy indeed, who now shall smooth our waters? Fill our sails and call fish into our nets? This I pledge: He will have a proper burial with a proper bier and a good many memories told. And large tankards of ale and the best sausages around. I'll see to that! And let me get my hands on his slayer, I know a game or two that we can play. [sorry to be calling in late, was sailing in greece, no less] [And TOTAL awesomeness]

To late? As a seasoned sailor I will recruit the far travelled Senor Ortega's gang, they are well known up and down the coast. I hope my revenue from the salami sale will be enough, to get some additional plunder.

Oh my, storms are gathering. Anyone care for some hearthy provisions? Goat salami at bargain prices? I'll even throw in a barrel of salted fish. An army fights on it's stomach, you know.

Torsten of Horssten arrives with his friend and mentor Herrick the water priest and some heavy infantry. Pledging for Petera. The Horsstenian heavy guards are slow but steadfast. Herrick prefers a vantage point where he can follow the battle, murmur blessings and practice water magic. Torsten has a good eye for tactics when fighting, but sometimes his anger gets the better of him. Honor is important and skilled adversaries are met with respect. Should the battle turn against him he would surrender and trust the enemy, if it was seemingly civilized. Ransom? Salami anyone? A retreat can also provide an honorable chance of GETTING BACK at someone nasty.

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Horssten replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Out of the mist came a small ship, or rather, a large boat. The oars creaking, it came alongside the jetty and a smallish man stepped ashore. The crew made the boat fast, moving in a sure and practiced way. "Please show me to the guard captain" he asked the harbor hand that was approaching. "I hear there is a battle brewing and I would be sorry to be left out of it." "And by the way, my friend, perhaps you may know who'd be interested in a perfectly good bargain for a shipload of goat salami? It seems I am in need of coins." Torsten of Horssten is pledging for Mitgardia. Also known as Torsten the short. Gentle of spirit but quick to anger. He is leading a squad of Horsstenian heavy guards and works as a one man embassy and trade master of the house of Horssten. Horssten is a small island of the coast. When seeking combat he is accompanied by his friend and mentor, the water priest Herrick, a renowned field cleric and healer. Blessings anyone? Elementals to quench? Coming right up! Hi all! A person just out of the dark ages that would love to build neat Historica MOCs and LotR-themed GBCs. Let's see how it goes. Torsten the Short
