Something I noticed at Wynnum K-Mart today (although they didn't have any stock, just a gap) - 10198 Tantive IV with a yellow clearance sticker of $229. I seem to recall some disappointment during the July sale that the sale price was $299, so this might represent a better price for those after the SW theme?

And there was me thinking that Melbourne DJ's might get more stock than Brisbane on account of higher population. Well, they're not going to need to reduce them because they can't shift stock, are they? So is that it for local Emporiums? No-one else stocking them and S@H and/or Bricklink being the options now? Also, the Winter Toystore & Winter Bakery sets - are these S@H only (and some Bricklink)? Has anyone heard anything about them being sourced in local stores?

The K-mart clearance items (those that are left) have gone another round. Checked Logan Central to see what was left Farm (7637) - now $55, 3 left Tie Defender (8087) - now $45, 6 left Midi-scale MF (7778) - now $28, 20+ left Army Men (7595) - now $11, 6 or more left, didn't count TS Construct-a-Zurg (7591) - now $18? Buzz's Star Command (7593) - can't remember (sorry, really didn't pay attention to the TS stuff this time), would $28 sound right? And not marked with a clearance sticker, but still possibly noteworthy, a Police Station (7744) marked at $70. Already have one, so didn't look too hard to see if any issues, but if not, seemed a good price.

Set number in question is 8039 - Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser. While I don't collect SW stuff, it seemed an OK price for the number of pieces, so I gave it a look. Couldn't find them at Logan 'dome or Underwood, but Garden City had 3 after I got mine. The ticket wasn't marked "Reduced" or "Clearance", and it was sitting with the other regular priced SW stuff. But sure enough, when you scan it, it shows up at reduced price. So it may be that I missed them at the other stores, looking in the wrong spot. Big W seem to have their lego scattered across a couple of rows at the moment. Another thing to note for clearance hunters: some of the clearance stuff may be with the normal stand, but some is also likely to be in a big bin / stand in a centre aisle close to where you walk in. I noticed a lot of the Toy Story items ended up there, but the SW items weren't. Not many Woody's Roundups left at the three I visited, but plenty of Buzz ships still left. And thanks to Hemish for tipping that cruiser :-)

Agreed. I've checked four or five K-marts out since LT posted the $50 on Creator Firetrucks, and there's none left since it dropped to $35. Cannon Hill had 3 others when I got mine @ 50, they were gone 2 days later. So if you've found one still available @ $35, grab it now. The one I'm not sure on is the Farm. Currently $80 from $99, but they don't seem to be shifting very quickly. So there's a chance that it might drop further? Can't speculate on the SW reductions as I don't go for it, but I've seen them still in stock at all K-marts visited so far, so they may drop as well.
