I don't feel like ME is dropping the ball at all. They've provided updates throughout the project life cycle and are beginning to ship some orders (VERY COOL). I've read about many funded Kickstarter projects which, unfortunately, have done neither. Don't allow yourself to get frustrated and your patience will be rewarded.

Looking forward to it, whenever that may be. It will be a nice surprise when that package arrives.

Do what's best for you. Don't bring too much stress on yourself by making things more difficult or confusing. For customers, the product will be worth the wait.
