  1. This won't be the most intelligent question y'guys have ever heard, but when exactly will the new figures be unveiled? Also, what about them? Will they both be featured in a for now still unknown extra set? Ta, Cliff
  2. That seems very odd to me... I saw the series 2 minifigures in a store in Belgium today... Also, Another store had the new LEGO catalogue, which featured the new Harry Potter sets (and the Hogwarts boardgame). If the new minifigures and Harry Potter series are available in Belgium, they'll sure be available in France... Don't give up hope! ;)
  3. Wow man, that's amazing! Thumbs up! :D
  4. Darn it, that's exactly the kinda set I wanted for the Indy line. It looks like the Last Crusade circus train too... Oh well... ;)
  5. I'd already be more than happy with a Kyle Katarn mini figure... :)
  6. Ghostbusters Masters of the Universe Lord of the Rings Back to the future
  7. I'm in too... Exciting!
  8. You're absolutely right, of course... I just wished they took this wise decision sooner... Aaaaanyway... These upcoming sets look amazing. They look pretty much like the ones released back in the day, but that's a good thing. I'm glad they didn't try to overly modernize the new pirate theme... Back to the golden days, my friends... Back to the golden days :)
  9. Whoa... This I did not expect... It's a tad bit too late though, this resurrection of the Pirates theme... They should've done it during the success of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. I'd say they kinda missed the boat on this one...
  10. Problem is that that interview was taken in August of last year. The quote (assuming it's genuine) stating the decision of TLC not to feature ToD sets in their Indy line is a week old. A lot can change in six months... Maybe the fate of ToD LEGO sets wasn't fully decided and still unclear six months ago but it is now. :-(
  11. Same here, bro ;) Oh well, time will tell I, guess... Until then, let's keep our fingers crossed! :)
  12. True, true... There is that.. ;) But , of course, they could just forget about that scene and not make a set out of it. It could be as easy as that. In the case of Harry Potter, they not only chose to make sets based on a rather dark witchcraft movie, they chose to actually make a set of the darkest, most violent scene in that movie. I don't understand how they could do that, and than a few years later refuse to release an airplane or an elephant caravan based on ToD... Of course, a lot of things can change. I remember a LEGO spokesman stating in an old interview that the LEGO Indy sets would have no reference to the Nazis in the movie at all, not even generic soldiers. Turned out they changed that policy as well... ;)
  13. The exact same can be said from the graveyard LEGO set based on the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire movie, depicting the ressurection of Voldemort and his duel with Potter. Dark Magic- check! Occult- check! Plus, an innocent kid is murdered, something that -to my knowledge- does not happen in Temple of Doom.
  14. Temple of Doom too dark huh? What about the Harry Potter graveyard set, depicting a scene from the movie in which a young character is murdered... Now that's dark!
  15. Belgium's got the same long rifles in the set. I don't understand how this kind of a problem could arise... Long blasters are cool, of course, but I think I would've preferred the short ones... Oh well... Let's hope that the next mistake in a LEGO set will be an extra stormtrooper or something ;)
  16. I think the second wave gets released in May... Normally, the first wave should be in stores in January... Could be wrong though.
  17. LOL! That was brilliant, man! I love how you did the dual flame bursts and the ballistic trace of the projectile! Keep 'em comin'! ;)
  18. Y'know, some of the Indy novels from the nineties already dealt with Crystal skulls... When I first read about them, I thought it was a pretty far-fetched idea from the novel's writer. Then later, I heard that there really is an existing legend surrounding the Crystal Skulls... You can read about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crystal_skull
  19. AHA! I'm not the only one eager to hear news about Indy sets after worldwide thrill of the official announcment has settled down... This is what LEGO had to say when asked this question by Indy fansite ihatesnakes.com "Per our design and production frames, we could only translate a certain number of scenes in our first round of Indiana Jones products, and we chose to focus on those most iconic scenes from the original trilogy, which happen to come from Raiders and Last Crusade. There's no telling what could be in store for future development." Check out the full interview here: http://www.ihatesnakes.com/news/legoex.html Sadly, no real solid answers on the TOD subject... My guess is that TOD sets will surely follow... I mean... How can you not have the sets Batbrick described in the LEGO line?... I'm sure every LEGO/Indy fan is dying to let that little plastic mine car race over a bit of plastic track while humming the Indiana Jones theme ;)
  20. That new cone doesn't scare me that much... The new non-shining gold pieces in the 'Caste' sets on the other hand... Now THAT's starting to look Mega Blocky!
  21. -thumbleweed rolls by- Any news anyone?... Shouldn't some prototype set pictures have leaked onto the Net by now?
  22. Nice one, jp! I really like it :)
  23. I reckon it'll definitely be an accesory. I don't see why it wouldn't be... I wonder if they'll make a new mold for Indy's Webley revolver or just use the Johnny Thunder mold... Not that it matters, they look alike anyway :-)
  24. After a closer look: Is that line under the mouth a 'lower lip line' or Harrison Ford's scar? Also, I feel trouble coming up with that lower gunbelt. On the (CG) picture, the belt's paintjob lines up perfectly in that stance, with the legs spread... But imagine the minifig standing up straight, the legs perfectly next to eachother... with this paintjob, the belt would be all skewed up... See what I mean? I wonder how they'll solve that... Thoughts anyone?
