75827 Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters Discussion
the fixer replied to kelceycoe's topic in LEGO Licensed
That's what I thought too. Seemed odd... I've never heard they were rejected because the set was already in development at LEGO though... Does make sense though. Anyway I hope the LEGO set will look at least as good as the one proposed by SwissGB.CH... I really like that proposal! :D -

Actually, since the set will be considered to be an Ideas set after all (even though it oddly enough wasn't selected back then) I take it the final set won't look that different from the one submitted by SwissGB.CH... I sure hope so! http://sergioherencias.com/gbforum/gbhq-complete-01.jpg -

With' two-story' building I take it they mean the ground floor plus two stories above. I don't think the ground floor is considered a story. Could be wrong though. I just can't imagine they'd build the firehouse with a ground floor and only one level above that. How would that work with the two windows above the gate? Nah, I think we can rest assured that the LEGO HQ will feature the two floors atop the main hall. That being said, I don't know how they plan on adding the containment unit... Because that's supposed to be in the cellar, yet another level... I guess they'll kinda cheat the containment unit to be somewhere on the ground level... Gosh, I hope they'll show us pictures soon.. The wait is starting to get quite unbearable... -
Maybe there's a moment in the movie in which Poe paints his X-Wing black to the tunes of The Rolling Stones' "Paint it Black" :p

Yeah, I know there's always a way to get them on the Net... Still, if ever they won't come out out here, it'll make me sad because: A) I won't be able to see the awesome sets grace my favourite local stores. B) I'd know that some nitwitted suit in Belgium took the decision NOT to have LEGO sets based on a franchise that's been popular non-stop (well, almost) all over the world for over 25 years. Oh well...

Ow man- I sure hope the TMNT sets will be available soon in Belgium... Well, I hope they'll be available out here at all... I've got a bad feeling about this...

That's just AWESOME! Congratulations, man! :D

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion

Awesome figures! My fave's Doctor Doom! :D -
Correctamundo, Iron Man. ;) At one point, many a year ago, there were even plans to do a live action adaptation of Iron Fist starring Ray Park (Darth Maul in 'The Phantom Menace', Toad in 'X-Men' and Snake Eyes in 'G.I. Joe') in the title role. I wonder whatever happened to that project... Anyway, that Spidey set looks pretty darn dark... Hope we'll see a bigger picture soon.

Actually, Moulinsart (which owns the rights to Tintin and the other Hergé creations) have already greenlit tintin building sets. Sadly, the licensee wasn't LEGO but Nanoblocks, a Japanese company that produces building sets with bricks four times smaller than the LEGO bricks (if I remember correctly). You can check them out here: http://tintinology.poosk.com/2011/11/15/tintin-nanoblocks/ I'm not sure if Moulinsart'd consider actual LEGO sets if they already sold the license to another company. Anyway, I'd LOVE to see Tintin LEGO one day. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Wow, LEGO ships pretty fast, apparently! :) Enjoy, dude! ;)

Aha! Good news! Sadly, I've heard that the main Belgian toy store chains have chosen not to carry the Marvel sets from LEGO, which pretty much means that the sets won't be available in Belgium. I don't know about the Netherlands though. :( Anyhoo, gotta love that HULK minifig!
-
Saw the movie yesterday and for once the IMDB.com score is justified :) On the other hand- I fear that I'll have to go to another country if I want to buy any of the Marvel sets. I'd be really surprised if they'll ever get released out here. :(

Hi there Cammo, The Lille TRU is the closest for me too. They charge 50€ for the funhouse. A pretty decent price if y'ask me. :)
-
Went to France yesterday and the only store that had at least SOME new super hero LEGO sets was TRU. Sadly, they only had the big Cap figure, the big Iron Man and the Batman Funhouse (of which only one box was left). The rest has yet to arrive. I bought the funhouse, the big Cap (and a load of new ThunderCats toys) :D

Aha! That's good to know! Thanks for the info! ;)

Has anyone spotted the new Batman or Marvel sets in Europe yet?... :( Actually, the new Batman sets were announced to come out in May in Belgian catalogues. I haven't seen any mention of Marvel sets... I sure hope we get them...
-
Hehe ;) Actually, I'd prefer to see LEGO ThunderCats based on the old eighties show. But I guess that's too late now... :(
-
I'd like to see LEGO Tintin, Masters of the Universe, ThunderCats or G.I. Joe. :)
-
Awesome set! What a nice surprise... I love it!!!
-
That's just AWESOME man! I love it!!! Two thumbs way up! :D
-
I'd certainly wet my pants if they did the Anton Furst Batmobile from the 1989 movie. Now THAT would be awesome! Anyway, I sure hope the stickers will be of a better quality than the original LEGO Batman set stickers... Mine look like someone tried to microwave them. :(
-
Wow! Thanks for the pictures, Ruslik. :) Can't wait for these! On the other hand, all of the new sets (except the Superman/Wonder Woman set) look pretty much like the first LEGO Batman sets released...
-
Man, this is gonna be a loooooong wait till these sets hit the shelves... -sob-
