  1. The Auto-finder allows you to purchase one or more wanted lists of parts with minimum fuss. I've been playing with it since the release, and I absolutely love it. It's not perfect, but there have already been several improvements to it since the release. I've seen some pushback, and there are some legitimate concerns, but I think there are a few features of the Auto-finder that are being missed. So I decided to make a video all about it. The video is targeted at new users, but you can skip to 13:50 for the Auto-finder part. Anyway, . I hope someone finds it useful. Also, I am not the best speaker, so I apologize for that. :P
  2. Hey guys, I just noticed that you can upload an LXF or LDR file directly to bricklink and create a wanted list out of it. I'm really liking all of the great features of this update. edit: here's the link :P http://www.bricklink.com/v2/wanted/upload.page
  3. LDD Manager will do this. In addition I believe it's more accurate when converting from LDD to a list of parts.
  4. Double click the condition field, or select all and change condition to Used. Setting the condition to used will search used and new.
  5. To be fair, I've heard this feature was in the works exactly once, and that was a couple years ago (when they were talking about "Bricklink 2.0"). I have no official communication with Bricklink. I think it took me a month just to get approval to download their database every night for Brickficiency.
  6. Do you mean changing an existing item in a list to another type of item? Double click on the item name. It will let you pick a different one. You can double click on most of the fields to change them in various ways. To be honest, I modeled Brickficiency after BrickStock, but Brickstock is a much better program for straight up inventory. As a bonus, both programs use the same file format, so you can switch between the two at your leisure. Do you mean changing an existing item in a list to another type of item? 7. At some point bricklink made grabbing your whole wanted list in one go impossible, so it's currently limited to the first thousand items from all wanted lists.
  8. Some passwords with special characters don't work properly. I think @? possibly $?
  9. Ok, I fixed the database update. My webserver was being a bit overly aggressive with security. BF should no longer crash on start up (most of the time )
  10. It should still work if you follow the instructions in post #306 above. The only thing that is not working is downloading the database. If you manually download and install the database, everything else should work fine.
  11. I guess bricklink is close to implementing this feature right into the site. Just a rumor I heard, but I'm fairly certain it's been in development for quite a while.
  12. Download http://www.buildingoutloud.com/bf/bfdb.zip Put it in c:\users\<your name>\appdata\roaming\brickficiency and then unzip it to the same directory. If it asks you to update, click no. I've not had time to look at why it's broken, but from what I hear Brickficiency is quite close to being obsolete.
  13. In testing it to see if it worked on the new bricklink I inadvertently stumbled upon a different bug. The list has to have at least one item, but if that item has a 0 quantity, it will just hang. I took this to mean it was not working.
  14. There were people interested in developing it further. I just have to find them. :)
  15. The time has come. I do not have nearly enough time to work on this project. I tried to deny it. I procrastinated because my code is ugly and horrible (I am not a programmer). With the recent changes to Bricklink, Brickficiency is broken. The most glaring is that logging in during calculation does not work anymore. I'm pretty sure it's just a problem with a regex, but once that is fixed, I imagine other things will be broken as well. Because of this, Brickficiency is now open source (again). https://github.com/BuildingOutLoud/Brickficiency I am new to this. I have no idea how git works. But if someone is willing to show me the ropes, I would appreciate it.
  16. Yes, the extra status was included for compatibility with Brickstore Bsx files.
  17. Yes, I just did not want to give away the code at the time. I may be ready to open source it now though.
  18. Make sure the piece exists (right click on it, click "Show Bricklink Catalog Info", confirm the colour is listed under "Known colours"). If it does exist, there is a checkbox on the calculation page, "Log in to retrieve price guide pages". Check that and enter your Bricklink username. It'll ask for a password.
  19. At a glance, "Hose, Rigid 9L" in Light Bluish Gray has never been made. Brickficiency cannot find what does not exist. Uncheck the box that says "continue looking for larger combinations...", Make sure you have 1 beside minimum combination. Looking for 3, 4, 5 store combinations for one part will do exactly what you mentioned.
  20. Haha! I never thought of using a server to do my calculations. I will have to borrow some resources next time I have a large list. :P Thanks for the donation!
