our story

A child dreams of being a grownup and an adult who onlywants to be a child, is the cliché of all ages and Lego™ knows it well. I like many grew up playing with these tiny bricks and blocks, and in fact I remember opening my first box filled with all kinds of shapes, sizes and a picture. Wait a minute there were not any instructions… Lego has changed a lot since the 70’s and I have to thank my daughter for re introducing it to me. Unfortunately, my wife has seen all of her organizational bins vanish but that was a long time ago and now its a little bit more formal yourgreenbrick.com©.

We don’t make Lego but we collect, build, buy, trade and sell it! Our proprietary system of safely sanitizing, restoring, cleaning most parts and pieces using the safest environmentally friendly way we know.

It began with my daughter’s first set a few months back a themed Friends™ by Lego 3061 City Park Cafe which then grew into five additional sets from Lego 3184 Summer Riding Camp then Lego 3315 Olivia’s House and I think you can see the pattern. I then noticed that they had a series called Architecture and started to buy and build and normally that would be the end of the story but then saw a Bloomberg news piece about how Lego produced 20 billion blocks in 2012 and 560 Billion blocks since 1956. Where does it all go and then discovered that these types of plastic can take centuries to break down in landfills and so the story continues with the birth of Your Green Brick Inc.

All products from receipt will undergo a sterilization process using an advanced triple-enzyme formula that removes dirt and grease. This process only uses USDA certified Bio Based cleaning agents and enzymes. It is also clinically proven to be hypoallergenic and contains no dyes, synthetic fragrances or optical brighteners. All pieces will be verified that they are 100% Lego Brand and bare all the marks and numbers known to be associated with their products. Once cleared the cleaning department it will be sorted by colorstyle and category where every little tiny part is inventoried and stored and protected from UV light, dust and dirt. Once an order is received each piece will be hand picked and undergo a final quality control stage that will include a final cleaning and be placed in a biodegradable resalable bag and then quickly shipped to its new home.
