  1. This is great as long as they changed it from the first pic. I want to know when? and how much? Also, will it too be a possible 3PO set?
  2. I think the promotion is only for the SUMMER sets.
  3. I think he ment 6 days of work in short periods: during the workhours because I doubt TLC would let anybody take it home, so it probably only took about 30 hours- still long but not impossible.
  4. Ha! I'm very lucky I am getting 1! **jealous**
  5. I got 1.
  6. I agree that the Republic Cruiser would be great (and TLC's recent turn back to Episode I supports this), but a Naboo Royal Cruiser (ROTS version) would be greater!!
  7. I think I've found a flaw in the authenticity of the set to the real MF. I hope to be proven wrong when I get it but I think TLC overlooked one of the coolest features, the pop-down laser cannon from the docking bay in A New Hope. Since the set includes Kenobi I think they mean for this to be the first time people saw the MF so I cant believe they overlooked this feature. While by no means is it the end of the world, it was a semi-important feature that I think would only take a couple pieces to make. I think TLC was a little lazy here like they were with the canopy and those odd fence things on the back.
  8. I agree. Those prices for the SI and the TIE Crawler are way too steep. THe TIE should be $40 at the most and the SI should be $20 at the most because it looks like it only has a few more pieces than GG's starfighter.
  9. I would just like to say that this is an interesting move by TLC. It will most likely increase sales as well as damaged boxes in stores. I must assume howevver that: -This will be available to online buyers as well for two reasons. 1)A lot of TLC's sales must come from online and they would not want to alienate them. 2)The sets are most likely stored in some kind of warehouse until shipped out to stores or taken and mailed to an online buyer. The sets would have gotten their 3POs long before then so it is probably going to be fair to everyone. -This offer is not available to 7664 or 7665 as stated by the poster. (What is 7665 anyways?) -Also stated by the poster, the new 2007 sets, this means the January sets won't be included. -You can also gather that because there is no translation to any other language on the poster, as there normally is, that Europe may be getting the short end of the stick. (Although I'm most likely wrong.) -Finally, the 3PO give-away is only for sets 7660-7663, and the UCS MF (I called and asked), so the chances aren't really that bad to get one in a set this summer.
  10. I just thought I'd let everyone know that this wonderful set is #2 in the top 25 US on Shop at Home! Only the droids battle pack stands in the way of the MF. (In only 3 days too.)
  11. I just got my mom to get me one - there goes my birthday! Luke isn't sideways. He appears to be because in the movies, I think, they both were facing back to back because the artifical gravity had each of them facing the outside which made their backs level to the deck. So this is actually accurate to the movies. (I talked with TLC and they told me that the MF is fair game for the C-3PO promotion!)
  12. This NEEDS to be available in the US!!! SOON! I hope the addition of the certificate doesn't mean limited production and a short time period to get it! Simply amazing.
  13. This is incredible! I think it is a must have, and I know I'll get it. I don't know how I'll end up with this AND the other sets, if the Hoth base has a $100+ price. My money (or lack of) is crying in distress! LEGO is so pricey this year.
  14. I think TLC decided to go with 5 digits after the first feew USCs to seperate them more from the other sets. The UCS X-Wing was a 'test flight' for LEGO to see if UCS would be a hit. (At least I think so.) THis means that we have at least one non-UCS set to look forward to because LEGO would not just overlook a number. It has also been said that we would get through 7666 so this would imply that there are more 'normal' sets. Any USCs that are going to be released we don't yet have a number for.
  15. Why is the link on our main ppage not working right? It says that the folder has not been made public!!!
  16. I've been wondering about the odd cut-off in the bottom of the pic. It doesn't look like a part of any of the known '07 sets and looks kinda like the nose of an X-wing so I think Lego might have made a Z-95 Headhunter. captaintau brings up a good point: Where is 7663? - I think it is this mystery set.
  17. WOW!! The TIE Crawler is amazing! More amazing is the possibility of most of the 3-5 additional '07 sets being EU along with the Hoth base. (possibly an Outrider?) I have waited for LEGO to reopen the EU door since the TIE Collection. I think the trooper with the Crawler is supposed to be a Phase II Dark Trooper. Like this... ...only black. The MTT looks very nice in this pic, and the area for the little speeder in the tail is neat. However, I wonder where they will put the destroyer droid? Now I must know what the cut-off set in the Crawler pic is!!
  18. I think the chances of Lego going back to yellow heads is 1,378,201:1 (as 3PO would say)... If I were to guess at the Hoth set I would say it will be one of these three options: 1) One large (expensive!!-over $100) set like Cloud City that has little sections that will cover important stuff: a section for the wampa cave, a section for the probe droid, a section for the command center, etc. (about 10 figs-Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie, Rebel Officer/Tech, 3PO, and four troopers +wampa & tauntauns) 2) One larger set with smaller sets that attach to it (Jabba's Palace): the large part would be the base interior with the add-ons possibly being the wampa cave (wampa, Luke), the probe droid (droid, Han, Chewie, tauntaun, a trench area with a turret (4 troopers), medical area(med droid, FX droid, Luke in tank), etc. with the main set being $60-$80 and each add-on $5-$10 (6 figs in the main set- Liea, 3PO, R2-D2, a Rebel Officer/Tech, 2 troopers) 3)One large set like in #1 without the troopers and an outside trench area (like the landing pad on Cloud City) 6 figs- Luke, Leia, Han, 3PO, 2 Rebel Officers/Techs (around $100) this set will be released with two army builedr sets: Rebels (a turret, 5 troopers) and Imperials: (a speeder bike and 5 snowtroopers) both for around $10 These are my guesses as to what this set will be, and although it would be the most expensive, I'd get choice 3 with two of each army pack.
  19. I think that Grevious would look better as a bust. I'm suprised that Lego has gone back to Episode I. I mean there are a LOT of sets that they have not done from ROTS still. Even though the first MTT stunk and this new one is great I don't know why they did another Naboo starfighter when they already made a very good one. I would have liked it better if they made one of the FOUR un-made chrome royal starships! Any of these would make me very happy but I think there is hope because Lego has turned its eyes once again to Episode I.
  20. I agree it would be great to have a Hoth Base set. However where did you guys read that there will certainly be one? You say there will be with so much confidence but I see no pics, not even a set number. Please fill me in on where the proof is so I can start drooling over it!! The MTT does appear to have 9 new guns clearly visible but it makes no sense to not give all the droids (except mabye the 2 pilots) the new guns. Also, are my eyes tricking me or are there 2 new rifles on the cart type thing? If you look in the photo on this page they are clearly visible.
  21. I like both flesh and yellow faces. However, now that LEGO has been going with the flesh faces I don't think they will go back (at least with Star Wars). I can't wait for better quality pics of these new sets though flesh or no flesh!
  22. I'm greatful for the warm welcome *yoda* and would like to show you my bases but where should I post the pics?
  23. Wow! So many questions. I'll just start from the top then... Yes, my favorite theme is Star Wars but I also have most of the old undersea and diver sets which have long since been destroyed for parts that I have made many custom ships and bases out of. *skull* Yes, the Steel City is Pittsburgh which is where I live. Yes, OOM-9 is a battle droid from Cloak of Deception, a pre-Episode I novel, but he is also the designation I gave my only security battle droid who somehow became a Force using bad guy in my own games. (His base is a pretty sweet custom-built fortress.) Thanks for the questions. If there is anything else you want to know, just ask! ;-)
  24. Hello everyone, I am new as a member but I had been visiting this site quite often before I finally decided to join up. I have enjoyed Legos since I got my first set in 1994 from my parents. I didn't see this forum for new members until now so I just want to give a big hello!! Fell free to ask me anything but first tell me how to insert smilies please.
  25. The Hoth set sounds like an answer to my prayers, but i wonder if they would do it like cloud city as a huge playset or like the Jabba's Palace as several sets that you are supposed to combine.
