  1. Just ordered mine can't wait to get it. Sadly live a least 200 miles away from a Lego store. I think was caught up in the exclusive, everyone wants it, hysteria as don't ever watch Simpsons , but this looks like such a cool set to have!

Wow this is really nice. I wonder if I can persuade my boyfriend to let me convert our attic like this (think I'd have a fight on my hands as he'd want it for his Retro Games set up!) Monster house loos so cool that on my want list, you have some excellent pictures there.
  3. My boyfriend has a dedicated server is anyone wants to play it. mc.raidkraft.net It runs towny with games, vanilla survival and a creative world (I'm sure Lego builders could create some cool stuff). One of the towns is even called Lego!
  4. Bit embarrassed to say it wasn't until my 4th that I worked out how to use the bricky end. I was mostly prising and unpicking with them. I have 4 orange and 1 green one. R2D2 was the first set I noticed the 'how to use the separator' instructions in (maybe it was in other sets but I was too keen building to notice this)!
  5. That must be really frustrating. I have the Death Star and it is amazing. I though I had some missing parts but when I went back through the instructions I had used the wrong length bricks in some places! Sometimes I get really stressed building stuff thinking that parts might be missing but get too exited to count/check before building!
  6. I think your lucky in that you have a Mini Lego fan to share your Lego love with. Having said that I don't want to share my Lego! I tend to get embarrassed in toy shops or the Lego shop. I find myself acting like an excited kid when everyone around me are adults with children. I do worry a little that they think I'm a bit pervy being in a children's' shop without a child (especially after reading that Lego Discovery Centres don't allow adults without children). It must be more difficult for the male collectors who can't just pretend to be 'mum who left kids at home'. It's also difficult fighting past all the kids to 'build your own minifigures' They should have an adult height display too! I do have to grin though when small child say to parent that they want an expensive set. I get tempted to tell them that if they do well at school so they can get good job they can buy all the Lego they like! I think my friends have worked out I like Lego as I post pictures of my builds online (Facebook, my blog etc.).
  7. I have a blog that I rarely keep updates which has some pictures of my Death Star. Am I allowed to post a link to it?
  8. I told my boyfriend than I'm expecting 40085 Lego Valentine on Feb 14th or he's not getting dinner for a week! The new minifigures Woops might have already built Parisian Restaurant and R2D2 (well it was my birthday) 70804 Ice Cream Machine Undecided about the Simpsons (I don't really like the TV series but the set looks like a cool must have) Haunted House (pending finding more room to put it)
  9. I only got into Lego again last year. I grew up with Lego and some amazing Lego technic (if only I'd looked after and kept my childhood sets). Then many years pass and a friend is selling minifigures on ebay and decide I want them! So I'm collecting minifigures and start looking at Lego sets with minifigures. I find 'Lord of the Ring's Lego (9470) and I had to have it as it's a totally cool spider and there's a Gollum and I had to take it home and make it. Next came the VW camper van and I shocked myself when I spent a fortune on the Death Star, but it was soooo cool! Now I have Minecraft Lego, R2D2 and 4 of the modular builds, plus some of the Super Hero sets and a Delorian (I was 9 when Back to the Future came out and it was the coolest car I'd ever seen). I live with my boyfriend (a retro games addict) and a crazy cat who is probably the anti-Lego of cats. Late last year we renovated our large spare room/junk room to make it into an office an the old office became my Lego play den with a cofy sofa, TV, sets of draws and shelving so I can chill whist make Lego. But I am running out of room! Anyway, hello *shyly waves*
