Ps there are lots of sets based on gory or dark scenes in the movies so just saying! For example tusken raider encounter is based on a scene of anakin slaughtering the tuskens out of revenge. Child friendly? Not in my opinion. But the set was marketed with the bike as the focus. General grievous starfighter is based on a scene where nahdar vebb a Jedi youngling or apprentice is killed. Your argument is invalid ;) lol kidding

This comment started it. You said you don't see my models worth supporting, and that they are poorly executed. On a thread about someones work you simply can't be that brash and rude. Say it more tactfully next time and I'll be more inclined to listen to it. I don't mind some feedback but don't attack the model "I really don't like that speeder", without giving reasons why. I know you did but only after I asked you to. I realise that not everybody will like my design and I really don't mind if it goes nowhere, but I just like people to show some respect in how they say it.

No thats where your wrong. I respect people who 'tactfully' give feedback and those who dont frankly dont deserve my respect. You came on here and had a go at me about the set and really didnt back up your decision not to support it until I asked you what you didnt like about the speeder. If you dont have the decency to speak tactfully then Im going to take it the wrong way. You say that my bad attitude has stopped you from supporting the set but that is rubbish. I can't use flickr because frankly I don't feel like setting up an account just to post a few images to a forum. I'm not wasting time like that and I don't care what you say about what I could've done because that is not the focus of the post. Follow the link, thats the purpose. You just don't feel like supporting? You said you don't like the speeder and give no reason why. Can you understand that a lot of criticism from different people can make people feel disheartened. oh well the order 66 collection is just my working title because you aren't allowed the lego logo or the star wars logo so I had to design my own logo for the box art. Sorry for any misunderstanding :) As I have already stated the airspeeder is the focal point of the set and any excess is simply excess. But it is up to Lego to make it sickly sweet and child friendly. :) I mean that I don't have the ability to post images to this forum. Its an issue because I have no image hosting site Like flickr so have limiter abilities with my posts. So you decided to have a go at my design rather than the presentation or any good points of the set. Why the animosity? I am able to post words but not images. I have not named the post a cuusoo project because I am being deliberately careful about that. I cannot post images to a thread so there is no point elaborating on my moc/project. Thank you for your loving input.

thanks for the feedback. I don't have flickr so can't post images to this page and believe me I have tried. So I did what I could. The sets focal point is the airspeeder and the landing pad and door are secondary features so it doesn't really matter as much. Thanks.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the support! Basically I have done what I could to mask the fact that that scene is a bit violent. Another thing is lego can market a set in different ways. For example darth Vader transformation is based on a very gory and intense scene of anakin being reconstructed if you watch the film. But the set is designed as a character set and focuses more on Darth Vader than the gory reconstruction. That is the same method lego could use for order 66 scenes. The airspeeder is the focus more than the Jedi being killed.

The friggin sandcrawler better not be UCS, I have waited so long to get one since the last one was so expensive and has been discontinued for years. Can anyone tell me how soon we should know every single set to come out later this year? When do we get images of the new sets eg star destroyer from toy fairs? I hate waiting so damn long for some stupid images!

Actually I think that that ship would sell particularly well if it was marketed well and I would definitely buy one! I would love to get a Bail Organa mini figure and a young Antillies so yeah this set would do well! Looking forward to Rebels. When does that start by the way?

I've always been a phase person with my hobbies. Its just lately the phases or fads are more fickle and I think when I start building something that I want, I fulfill that need and I'm instantly put off continuing that interest. I hope my current interest in the millennium falcon and cloud city lasts longer.

Yes actually that is a good idea, considering we are being messed around by lego putting invisible hand palpatine in a vulture droid set! Omgoodness how stupid is that! Why don't they just make the friggin invisible hand? Instead of rereleasing all these damn sets that we've seen before! We don't need a anakins Jedi starfighter! We don't need a vulture droid! We need the invisible hand! What is going through the lego designers and marketers heads? Honestly if the cuusoo invisible hand doesn't succeed I will be distraught.

Slave 1 should be re-released soon with a cloud city door so that fans can reenact the scene where Leia and chewie run after the boba fett and R2-D2 saves the day by making a smoke screen and opening the door. The set should have a gantry walkway and a sliding door mechanism. The minifigures should include Leia (cloud city), Chewbacca with bowcaster, R2-D2, lando calrissian (cloud city version), boba fett (cloud city), two stormtroopers, han solo in carbonite and a bespin guard. The slave 1 should be completely redesigned with a better more accurate colour scheme and more cargo room.

How soon can we expect to see the star destroyer in Australian stores? I am aware its not part of the 1st wave (episode III) but I really don't have any sets in the 1st wave on my wishlist. So I'm holding out till later this year but how late? The cantina also looks really nice but it will likely have some extortionate price up around $70-$110 AU. Its more an issue with the fact that we get completely ripped off for lego in Australia. Compared to the US Aussie lego prices are probably 15-20% more even allowing for Currency conversion.

Lego needs to rerelease the MTT in a smaller more affordable format. Eg smaller model, but not too small and less mini figures, eg less droids. Maybe the MTT could feature OOM-9 and Qui Gon Jinn and Jar jar. That would recreate the scene at the beginning of phantom menace and perhaps the set could expand on that with a few STAP speeders as well.

Thanks for the advice! That is a good idea, I need to catalogue my builds. Its really annoying because one moment I'll be into a certain ship like the solar sailed and the next day I'll be like hang on I don't feel like building or using this ship, I'm more into another ship now. Its like a fad and when I loose that desire to create something or finish creating something I feel really angry that I can't get that desire back. Its so hard to explain!

Okay, so this is hard to express in words but its a general circumstance that happens to me all the time. I'm a lego star wars freak, and I'm not picky as to which trilogy I prefer, in fact I can't actually tell you which I do prefer because that would upset the natural balance. I feel as though both trilogies complement each other and I realise that many true star wars fans typically hate the prequels but I personally see the good things in both trilogies. Anyway onto the point. Now I probably have as many sets and ships in lego from the original trilogy, and the prequel trilogy. I'm a builder and whenever there's a scene I feel I can recreate I do so with what pieces I have. But I'm not a collector that just has my lego for show. I like to bring one ship down and add it to my location or scene I've made. But it seems that for me my lego taste changes constantly. One moment I will be in love with the mustafar scene and build all I can from that and get my palpatines shuttle down, then a day later my desire will have changed onto for example cloud city and that means that I put the mustafar stuff away and get out my millennium falcon and slave 1. Its honestly an endless spiral and I feel it has something to do with psychology and the fact that if I look at a particular ship or set in a catalogue my interest in it will develop. I'm just very fickle and faddy when it comes to lego. I wish I could sustain my interest in one star wars lego scene for more than a few days. :( any similar experiences? Who wants to play psychiatrist?

actually the star destroyer is the one set that I am glad to see this year and look forward to seeing all the photos from the toy fair. Yeah I mean we got a snowspeeder in the wampa cave set, a recent battle of hoth set and a recent echo base set so a snowspeeder on its own is a waste of time. Someone in the lego star wars design team really likes snowspeeders. preach!!!!!! I agree 100%! Ps who is wuher? Lol is that the little bat creature at the bar? I really thought that was cute! yes those minifigures that we want to see in the new cantina but aren't in there might be included in add on sets later this year or next year :) feeling hopeful
