About Me

Born in 1975 a usal toy in this time was LEGO. My first technic set was 8030 after which i get addicted to LEGO technic. I build really a lot and to each christmas and birthday I wished (and mostly got) new technic sets.

8030, 8860, 8848, 8851, 8710, 8040, 8700, 872, 8640, 8865, 8855 and 8862.

8862 was my last set before my dark age. I was about 16 years old and my interests began to move.

In 2008 I took my old LEGO stuff from my parents attic to play with my 4 year old twins. I mostly build from the old instructions because it was difficult to concentrate to build something new if you have two childs around you. The kids love it and I love it too. So it was unavoidable to buy "new" sets. After a lot of investigation I bought 8880 on ebay in 2008.

The studless building started for me in 2009 with 8275.

Also 2009 was the year I really recovered from my dark age, to christmass I got 8048, 8046, 8264, 8265 and a few selected pf parts (8879, 8869, 8885, 8870).

In February 2010 I had to get 8049 because I wanted to test the (for me) new pneumatic pump. In July 2010 I had to get 8297 because of the yellow springs and the (for me new) suspension system. In September I got 8053. Christmass 2010 brought a lot of new sets to me: 8047, 8262, 8069, 8052 and 8258.

I don't play/build alone but I always play/build with my two boys. My doughter (~1 year) also wants to look what we've build. So my time for building is very limited. I think we achieved nevertheless a lot and - more important - we've a lot of fun.

My next sets on my shopping list are 8043, 8051 and 8066.
