You'll know when you get married. Sex is great until you have a child. -
1. I have no daughters. One son. And 2. I don't MOC. I'm a collector, and in these times I like to spend money on stuff that I absouletly need (Like the new city vehicles ).

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 5 discussion
Mrlegoninja replied to eiker86's topic in Special LEGO Themes
My luck finally struck! Saw Series 5 at TRU yesterday. Picked up five, since the price was marked up 50 cents. However, as a rewards member, when I checked out the rewards points evened it out to 15 dollarss. I'm happy. I got: Cleopatra, Gladiator, Sherlock, Snowboarder, and the Royal Guard. All really great figs, all worth it. -
Agreed. That is a great point.

Just wondering, why do you wonder if its availble in other countries? Its a pretty old set, and most people that want it have already bought it.

Triffids sound like something ... uh, I shouldn't say. This is a happy town, and it shouldn't be polluted by swearing. And sorry, we don't. -
You've got to remeber what scale those dragons are: they're pretty big. The dinosaurs (or most of them) are pretty small. I don't have a problem with the small ones being molded and the T-Rex being brick built. But that wouldn't look good. And you'd have to choose between having all brick-built and all molded. And personally, I think they made a good choice making them molded.

I doubt it. I bet it will be just construction again. Though mining would be cool.

Anyone want to buy a pet? Sorry, couldn't resist. But seriously, now that I'm here, you better buy a pet. I love pets. They're great. If you want a companion, buy a pet. If you just want fun, buy a pet. -
These look OK. But the fact that (1. I'm a man) and (2. Most of my money will probably be gone ), I think I'll pass these sets.

Amusing shopping site finds
Mrlegoninja replied to 1980-Something-Space-Guy's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Oh, bricklink. The seller can't be serious requesting 10,000 dollars for a 73 piece set! -
Sorry to those who didn't see pics. My thoughts: Vehicles: These look great! Have to get them all. The ambulane is much better than the last one. The Garbage Truck looks alot like the old recycle truck, but that is my only complaint with that line. Police: That helicopter (I really don't care what it is called) is great. I'm so glad I didn't get this years helicopter. The other sets look too similar to other sets. However, if the prices are low, I might pick up a few. Fire: The plane looks nice, but it isn't something I'll buy. The other 2 sets are nice touches. Might pick them up. Thanks for the pics. 2012 sounds like a great year!

I have seen people that say Rebel Blogger. Is this some kind of post the SW people do?

Meh. Not satisfied by this wave. Hopefully it will be made up by other waves. -
My bad. I looked over the favorite movie in the first post. I might as well add it here. 4. Your Favorite Movie: Definetly "The Other Guys". Great movie, really funny.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 5 discussion
Mrlegoninja replied to eiker86's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Wow. I'm jealous. Some of you have Series 5 done and I haven't even started Series 5 or completed Series 4. Oh well. My time will come. Hopefully I'll be able to collect them all before the end of the year. -
MOC: Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!
Mrlegoninja replied to Schfio factory's topic in Special LEGO Themes
That is awesome. I really like the brick-built fruits. Btw, what is a Mid Autumn Festival? -
I actually like mysteries more than mafias. Why? Because you don't just discuss and vote. You get to get into the game and find clues. That's why I signed up.
-
Nice. I really need to get back into these games. 1.I have played in RSM, Bloodbrick I, and the Coming darkness (This wasn't a mafia, but it was still a game). 2. Yes, I am available. I'm done with all trips till next year. 3. My favorite is definetly the Hazmat guy from Series 4.

Dr. Bloodbrick's Asylum II: sign up thread
Mrlegoninja replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Oh great! I've missed a few games so I think I will sign up for this one. 1. I've played in the first Bloodbrick, Red Scare Mystery, and the Coming Darkness. 2. Why do I belong in the asylum? I have no friends. I'm a social reject and have thought of committing suicide several times. I have no one to hang out with, so maybe I can make some mental friends in the asylum. -
Some of these sets sound pretty good. It seems like lego will make up disapointing AFOLs with some good sounding sets! I too cannot wait for pics.
-
Go ahead and build it. Honestly, I hate people that hoard sets to sell them later for a higher price.

I don't think its unhealthy if you keep it moderated. Buying sets whenever there's a sale and getting yourself and your family into debt is not healthy. I would say buying a few sets each month (like 4) or one big set is ok. If you don't socialize and spend most of your time playing with lego is not healthy. I mean, we're adults and we're human. There are a billion things around more important. If you take time to get involved in groups, your family, and your friends/co-workers, you might be better of than immersing yourself in lego. In fact, if you were to start a building group it would be much better than building alone.

I think they do just fine in Lego Discussions.
