  1. At long last we're getting Thunderbird 4 in a SW Lego set!
  2. yeah i'm pleased with Yularen, another good variant and easily modded to beef up an Imperial army.
  3. Perhaps one for the beyond 2015 thread sets, but interesting news we're seeing a new Star Wars film in Dec 2016 and May 2017. There's not going to be much chance to catch breath after the TFA sets are released before we're into Rogue 1 and Ep VIII. The Winter 2016 wave will likely include Rogue 1 and the Summer/September wave should be EpVIII!
  4. Just to point out we've only just seen Idiot's Array in the UK so I see spoiler text as justified for now (i'm now well and truly spoilt cos I can't resist spoilers!)
  5. Got my Stormtrooper Sergeant polybag through from Norway. Definite improvement on the face it's less frowny now. https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8650/16640047846_e5710b5f11_o.jpg
  6. Yeah, he looks like he might fit in with my Imperial army now! Would love a new Tarkin!
  7. The Ghost and the Phantom (despite the Ghost's similarities to the Millenium Falcon) and their minifigs were very alien when they appeared. The TIE and the AT-DP (and their figs) are very familiar variants on existing and well loved OT vehicles. They were always going to be more popular with us AFOL's. Interesting seeing the Kallus concept, in the show he does appear to be in the same colour as the existing Imperial Officers. . I like the blurred lines between Rebels and the OT, particularly the disappearance of the cartoon faces. Tarkin, Yularen and the other chap in the brown outfit whose name escapes me could all be added to existing OT MOC's and displays. Has anyone tried using an Imperial Officer's legs and arms on Kallus to make him fit in a bit better? He already has a strip of grey down his front so this might be an easy customisation to make him a bit more show accurate.
  8. This figure must surely confirm that rumour. The Christmas before Ewok Village came I believe we got the ginger goatee beard Endor rebel and the new print Scout trooper, then the standard squad leader and full beard rebel and a couple more Scouts in the Village. There's no way Lego would have produced a new print for a one-off soldier with the Advent and I'll bet we'll see two more variations on this theme in Echo base. I'm just surprised we didn't get a new Snowtrooper, but then I suppose we got one in the last advent.
  9. Remember me in June and I'll buy your Rebels off you to bulk out my army ;) Thats the beauty of it though, won't need much customising to become an Imperial shuttle. Crew, and er, thats it!
  10. Wow, look at the space in that imperial shuttle! I assumed that area would be full of technic bits.
  11. My thoughts exactly. My BrickLink trigger finger was getting itchy looking at the latest Chewie and Vader, pleased I waited now as I'll be picking up Tydirium and Final Duel. Love that they've based at least one on a character from the film, and just hope they compliment my existing little army.
  12. Interesting comparison pic of the new Sergeant Stormie Seems they have tried to make the 'mouth' less droopy, so it isn't just an existing figure with a pauldron added. It's kind of a trade off between the two new types.
  13. Available in stores in Denmark, some Danish guy was selling on a Facebook group in frequent.
  14. yeah , i prefer the latest Ben kenobi to the older ones with capes.
  15. ^^ totally agree. The death star (navy) troopers and other chaps like the light grey suited guy with the Star Destroyer are too hard to come by. Death star trooper set should definitely have included one or two of those kind of guys. Nobody wants more than a couple of guards, and it would have made them a nice exclusive with Final Duel rather than a total 'meh'. Regarding capes & robe equivalents, I always think this ebay custom looks good when it pops up on my feed (also slightly reminiscent of the robes the first Palitoy toys had!)
  16. I find the capes too 'floaty' for Imperial guards. To me they are elegant, serene looking chaps, and perhaps something like Nute Gunrays leg piece would be better than the flappy cape.
  17. Looks like the edge of the Tyderium's wing on the left there, tease!
  18. I know the figures on these prelims are usually wide of the mark, but does r2 look to have a more accurate shiny/satin dome in this? Would be a good improvement upon the latest version.
  19. I think they have adults in mind more than you might think. Recent example Sabine with hair in one set, Sabine with helmet in a second (very expensive) set. What kid would even be bothered about her helmet? They know what they're doing hiding the sought after figures in the dearer sets. Why is it so hard to get hold of OT stormies? The microfighters are totally aimed at kids, yet they still pull Theron Nett and R2-X2 out of the hat. Totally aimed at the collector or they could have just lazily thrown another Luke or a generic pilot in.
  20. Cheers all, glad you enjoyed. Injured Han as follows: The hairpiece from Airen Cracken. Face from the new slave I Han. Torso and legs from AT-AT Han. Dodgy leg from new Tatooine Luke.
  21. Nik Sant I'm presuming is the old guy with the beard who ends up in Scout trooper uniform. If so his name is hilarious, a play on Saint Nick (or Father Christmas)! Sorry if this is old news. I'm excited to add to my Rebel Endor army too (2 more unique figs to add to the 4 in there already) I thought that too, would look better than the flappy Cape in the battle pack. Never thought that looked right for them, not elegant enough. Maybe they are going that way more, the latest Ben Kenobi looked better without his flying Cape.
  22. Wow, that's underwhelming! I was thinking something similar to Artoo Treetoo but in brown.
  23. Santa Yoda, Santa Jango and Santa Vader all used existing moulds but with new Christmassy printing. The only guys that got a hat were Santa Maul (standard snow hood thing in red) and Christmas Clone. My bet is a different torso and leg print with the same old 3P0 head. Intrigued by reindeer R2, I'm guessing a brown R2 with a red nose/eye.
  24. Maybe it's the same version as this and the guy has mistaken the leg printing for camouflage? Same as Will, Slave I has halved my lego storage/display area (top of wardrobe) and Tyderium has long been my favourite SW ship, so I have high hopes.
