  1. Brick Binge was a really good one but hes taken all of his videos down sadly. He mainly did vehicles using powered up motors, including an awesome fire engine that was submitted to Lego Ideas …. Which brings me onto my own channel with 7 pitiful subscribers. Im not into the money side of it or even the polished videos of a youtuber, i just really wanted that fire engine. So with 5 pictures i started building it myself, sames goes for Attack on Wayne Manor, another Lego Ideas set i wanted. Theres videos of the build progress done as and when I can so check out Luminoki Lego
  2. Hiya there, long time lurker stuck in his dark ages here. Im trying to figure out how i would make some wig wags with lights. Ive posted in the train section but they will be for a fire station. I dont want to go down the mindstorms route, preferably 9v and im a complete novice with the led lighting kits to be found on ebay. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Heres an example
  3. Im regards to a helmet, as lego is a european firm, one that represents what european firefighters wear would be good. http://www.ex-mod-textiles.com/shop/headwear/msa-gallet-fire-helmet-1096165.html In the UK its commonly a yellow one but there are also red, white, black and chrome ones used europewide
  4. It was an ok watch, found myself yelling at the tv "i dont care about your star wars tattoos"
  5. Remember its only worth as much as someone will pay for it. Go onto ebay and see how much the sets are going for. Then go onto completed items and see how much they actually cost. You wont see many green listings
  6. If you go onto Warkwickshire Fire And Rescues facebook page theres a few good pics of their CARP in action
  7. I agree, the problem with most British aerials is you can either make them 100% functional or 100% accurate. There is NO way of doing both! Ralph S's ALP is probably the closest you can get to both but the ladders are on the top of the boom and not to the side. Hydraulic platforms arent bad if youre willing to forgo the escape ladder down the side. Same goes for TLs if youre willing to compromise on the cage mechanism
  8. Ive tried building one of the infamous CARPs, the triple axle one is great until you get to a functioning boom
  9. Many moons ago i worked for a reasonably well uk toy store chain. We were usually told to destroy the displays. However being a lego fan my boss would look the other way when i went to "dispose" of the displays. I ended up with 4 star wars displays which i went on to give to my younger cousin Chances are if you see a display set for sale, its usually been nicked by the employee

    Uk Fire And Rescue

    Thanks to Peppermint_M
  12. Hello there. Long time lurker, occasional poster. Im a big lego fan obviously. I mainly do fire egine replicas from the UK. Those of you interested in that may have seen some of my earlier work under Ashtonshire Fire and Rescue on Brickshelf. Since i saw Ralph S collection a while ago, i have been experimenting with similar vehicles using the same technique ( whilst the Atego was a nice design, i prefer Scanias ) So today i have three replicas of Fire trucks used in the UK. They are the following: Combined Aerial Rescue Platform - Strathclyde FRS, similar to Quints used in the US
  13. They prefer to open them where they will be in direct competition with other toy retailers. All of them, aside from Bluewater, are near to a competitor
