  1. Yes, your logic might be right but the most important evidence is the one we have in the book and not the one of PJ's movie. Anyway I could accept the Eagles to be the fifth army but this is pretty far from being a fact for sure.
  2. I see this sentence of Tolkien on quote to be a chrystal clear list of the armies fighting the Battle of the Five Armies. I really doubt that it is a mere chance that Tolkien is to list exactly FIVE sections in the sentence preceding the one that is calling the battle 'The Battle of the Five Armies'... This sentence is without doubt the strongest evidence we have on this topic and anything else is not much more than theoretical argumentation, even if your logic on the Eagles to be somehow more neutral seems reasonable to me. The interpretation used by PJ doesn't seem like a decisive evidence as the movie differs from the book at a couple of details. Yes, this is pretty confusing question as there are more than five armies actually (not to mention the lonely Shape Shifter) but to say for sure that the Eagles are the fifth on the list for sure is pretty unreasonable at least.
  3. I think that you are wrong about that. For a decent evidence it is the best to check what J. R. R. Tolkien wrote about the Battle of the Five Armies: "So began a battle that none had expected; and it was called the Battle of Five Armies, and it was very terrible. Upon one side were the Goblins and the wild Wolves, and upon the other were Elves and Men and Dwarves. " (Chapter 17: The Clouds Burst) Accordiing to that the Eagles must be considered to be the SIXTH army joining the battle.
  4. Some of you are speaking about Azog with a new facial expression but (I might be wrong) I see this Azog in the new 'The Battle of the Five Armies' set to be pretty the same as the one we had in the Dol Guldur set of the last wave.
  5. The Lego Monobrand Store here in Budapest, Hungary they sell the Hobbit polybags for reasonable price.
  6. I would be more than surprised to see a new dwarven helmet coming out specially for the Ironhill dwarves. Lego is not quite good at offering a wide range of new pieces to make the fans happy. If you check the screenshots from the video game you could see the dwarf guardian having a Gimli helmet in a different colour (I know that it is Erebor and not Iron Hills but it doesn't matter to much). I really think that we are going to have the same for the Ironhill soldiers. I really hope that you will be right about that, I do not want Lego to disappoint me with this weird Bolg fig.
  7. Lego won't make any new dwarven helmets for sure. The iron hill dawrves will have the same helmet Gimli has. We can be pretty sure about that.
  8. You mean the shield in the 'Mirkwood Elf Army' set? An armoured elf like taht would be really nice but I still prefer the Mikwood Elf palace guards to me materialized.
  9. This Bolg minifig still looks awful to me. They need to change it's head as the body should be OK with a much better head piece. I hate these orc minifigs without ears as they seem unfinished like that. Bolg's mouth is strange too as it seems like someone vomiting his blood...
  10. Fully agree, with a molded head, like the one of Azog, they could make a decent minifig for Blog as the printing and the shoulder armor is pretty nice.
  11. This Bolg is a boring and weird crap, I really hope that we are going to have a different one at the end, I surely won't buy that.
  12. Sorry, my memories might be wrong, I tried to remember to the scene with Bolg and Azog meeting each other at Dol Guldur, and I had the memory of Bolg being slightly higher than Azog, but you might be correct and perhaps it is only a question of the camera angle. Anyway I see absolutely no reason to make Bolg to a normal sized Lego fig. He should be same sized as Azog with the same kind of head set-up. This kind of Bolg would be a big disappointment.
  13. The Bolg figure on the screenshot is absolutely disappointing and I reall hope that finally Lego is to make it with a different version. This one is lacking every aspect of fantasy and it is simply a painfully boring minifig. It reminds me to the useless Yazneg fig of the first Hobbit wave. They should make it more similar to the Azog fig as Bolg is even higher in the movie than his father is. Anyway I like the orc with a pony tail? on the left.
  14. I am to join the Bolg train :-) It is a bit problematic to imagine the new upcoming set called 'Battle of the Five Armies' on the very same line of the army builder sets (Uruk Hai Army and Mirkwood Elf Army) we already have as these sets included only 2 factions fighting against each other (4 Uruk Hai orcs against a Rohan archer and Eomer and 2 orcs versus 4 elves), always 2 against 4. If the Battle of the Five Armies set is to be something similar then Lego has to change the logic. Practically I can only imagine this title with a bigger set, but anyway we will see.
  15. Bolg to be included in a Laketown set seems something from the DOS wave so if Lego is to strictly follow the episodes of the movies, and the third wave is for TABA sets they have to make room for him in a different set I think.
  16. To tell the truth the October timing is a little bit to late for the 'usual' delay of the release dates in Hungary. The last LOTR wave was released around August (or possibly early September the latest). Anyway I still agree that we are talking about coming LOTR sets and October won't be correct at the end (neither for Hungary).
  17. I am from Hungary and I know the mentioned Lego store personally. Their logic to display the possible new sets under the topic 'Gyűrűk ura (meaning Lord of the Rings in Hungarian) - Hobbit' is because the store is treating LOTR and Hobbit as one and single theme. The sets with new serial numbers (disappeared from their site since then) could be LOTR and Hobbit sets as well. I really think that we are going to have a new LOTR wave and by the end of the day the timing for October won't be correct (at least not for USA and for most of Western Europe). Here in Hungary we still don't have the new Hobbit sets on stock (I think it was a really bad mistake to miss the Christmas rush).
