  1. Benji returns yet one more time, being careful to avoid Fabian. He picks up 4 grand potions for 40 gold and walks off towards the Ji Pei palace.
  2. Benji whispers to Tarn, "I will purchase some potions. Meet you at the Ji Pei Palace." Subsequently Benji strides out of the hall.
  3. Go do the math yourself
  4. Ooh, I've got the official position now?? Awesome!! Anyways, Sandy, I think that you can see what thr majority wants.
  5. Benji sees that he was accepted to the ji pei quest, and gladly runs up to find Tarn. When he finds him he slaps him on the back, grinning ear to ear. "Heya buddy! Looks like we'll be going together to fight some bandits!"
  6. I hope Benji and Haldor won't be on another quest together We can't have too many hunks showing off, right!?
  7. Alright. After I did a recount of the votes (or what seemed really really similar to a vote), this is the conclusions: 42% - With 5 votes: the Endgame Compromise (Capt John Paul, Rumble Strike, Flipz, Brickdoctor, Flare) 25% - With 3 votes: Racism - Humanoids Only (posades, JimButcher, LordoftheNoobs) 25% - With 3 votes: Stop Messing With My Gold, Dude (Dannylonglegs, swils, Zakura) 8% - With 1 vote: "Common Sense (is not so common)" (Palathadric) Overall: We have 75% in favor of change, and 25% against.
  8. That is true Zepher, betcha didn't notice that didya! Also! Quest 74 and 75 heroes are chosen today!!! :excited:
  9. Ah oops. I think I confused with thr humanoid ruling and the common sense one. Let me do a recount.
  10. So far we have seen: 6 people in favor of the "Endgame Compromise". 4 people in favor of the "Common Sense" ruling. 1 person in favor of both of the above. 2 people in favor of the "Leave my gold alone and let me continue to become overly rich" standards. See post on Page 6 for fixed statistics.
  11. I am also in favor of Endgame's (second) proposal.
  12. I think that I will have to drop my previous statement on being against the nerfing of the goldearning - I think it will be more fair if the rogue's stealing ability will be nerfed AND quest masters will start dropping more gold, or offering more gold as a reward for the quest. Both must happen. The best way, in my opinion, is Endgame's idea.
  13. 2 out of how many. Did you see that picture of all the rogues? Anyways we're off subject. We should continue the discussion of good rogue bad rogue in the discussion thread.
  14. I say we completely ditch the 'steal' ability and introduce the 'sneak' ability instead: the hero receives half damage from front row Alright maybe not... There are almost no admirable rogues in the first place.
  15. I dunno, it seems pretty logical to me (and few of us ). Do you have a better solution?
  16. Of course. Rude and abrasive behavior should not be tolerated, no matter on whos side its coming from. As obvious, it is extremely difficult to keep an absolute balance between all classes. Because there is no balance. There are different pros and cons for every class, they can't always be compared.
  17. But it was just one time. Not a repeating occurence.
  18. Math is fun. But no one uses paper and pen.*pssst* theres a new invention. Its called the... Calculator I like this suggestion it keeps things simpler But what happens when an assassin rolls shield against an enemy that drops no gold? Perhaps. But I sure remember him complaining about the Overkill Gloves because Arthur got a lot more gold in one hit than Guts usually gets from one battle. So it might be limiting to him, but more limiting to others? Team Conspiracy Theories!
  19. I'm sorry to speak up in a negative manner against you, but I want to respectfully point out that Scuba does seem to criticize many features and items, especially when it undermines his superiority. (if I have misunderstood your intentions, Scuba, than please accept my apologies.) I don't want to continue with this, but I just want to make clear that Jebediah isn't the only person railing against this, although I am not wanting to be quick to point fingers and cause arguments, or being rude in return as Jebs has seemed to be. But the problem with common sense is that it involves too much personal interference from the QM (read my post a couple ones up)
  20. Unfortunately common sense isn't always common. I might be a generous host that thinks that it makes sense for most of the enemies, but on the other hand someone else might be stingy and be extremely limiting (oh, this person doesn't walk around with his wallet; oh, this dragon gave all his gold to charity). So that doesn't really work. Anyways - don't forget that many Shields revolve around gold making - what happens if the QM doesn't want for damage to be caused, so instead lets thr gold be stolen? Too much personal interference is a problem here. My suggestion is, changing the amount of gold stolen to the following formula: Instead of - X (amount of gold stolen currently) There is - (X/6)*Y(random number between 1 and 6) That way the earnings are varied! But it doesn't overnerf the class.
  21. I sort of agree with Jebediahs, actually -_-
  22. Yeah, now I want one
  23. The most "bad-megablock" class is barbarian. They can cause much more damage. And I'm pretty sure that the lock-picking stuff was removed a while ago
  24. "Immune" has two 'm's in it, ya know
  25. Benji returns to the marketplace, tired of annoying Fabian. He sits down orders a drink, and waits eagerly, hoping that he will be picked for one of the upcoming quests. "I might be able to lend you one. I am afraid that I am not able to sell any of my gems at the moment." Benji says to the black knight who was previously friendly to him.
