One of those would probably be more accurate to the game races as done so far, but you don't have to feel forced to change it if you don't want to.

Benji puts on a formal manner and tries to act comforting, although it is obviously an act. "We're most deeply sorry to inform you that regretfully the poor mother of this here darling child has been, um, sadly, and unfortunately, um, well, killed." He puts on a mournful look and continues on in a most pitiful manner. "We tried to save her, but she and her lover refused to return with us, and resorted to violence. We did all we could do protect the child and his mother, but the violence shown towards us was resentable. We defended ourselves and attempted to not hurt them, but sadly they were killed in the attempts on our lives. We did all we could to try and revive the mother, but sadly my arrow was in her nervous system her signs of life fleeted rapidly and despite our half-giant cleric's best attempts on healing her, she passed away. I mournfully bring you this news, but on the positive we were able to save poor Luke to bring back to you. He was brought against his will on an escape from the island, and I'm sure that he will be glad to return to you." Benji motions to Vindsval to let the child down by his father. He coughs as the orc bluntly speaks the obvious truth. "And don't listen to my orc companion, please, she has no sense of manners! Ha! You know most orcs never do."

I know that I wasn't in the quest, but I just wanted to say a couple things! First off, well done! It was a great quest. A couple things I just want to nitpick at: I thought that the battles were too similar and repetitive. The enemies were well planned, but every battle was very similar to the previous. I felt that the end was sort of rushed, and the climax didn't end up being as exciting as I was expecting. However, the unexpected twist was, well, unexpected. So good job and I hope to see you QM again soon!

ANNOUNCEMENT: Third Anniversary of Heroica RPG
Flare replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Thank you Dragonator! -
"Aye, let's head back to the town, and we'll see the reaction of the citizens. I regret the loss of life that took place here... not..." Benji looks carelessly at the dead bodies, not exhibiting a sign of compassion. But if the others paid close enough attention, as he looked at the child he looked at it with pity, but then again grouchily glared at the corpses, and starting coughing away again.

OoC: Bite restores health, plus I hace natural respite. Benji transforms back into his human state and spits as he tastes blood. He silently hands out the loot to the others. Miderun - club, high heels Bobby - mead, 5 gold Vindsval - mead, 5 gold Benji - nothing
-
Same battle order. Same target, back row.
-
Benji repeats. Same battle order.
-
Yea for an aim it wasn't bad, although you forgot my multiplier..
-
OoC: I know thay technically it doesn't matter since I will have killed her in any case, but my attack should've had a 2x multiplier causing 126 damage, giving me 76 gold because of my Overkill Gloves So fix it! Benji looks indifferently at the fallen woman, but he doesn't stop Vindsval from attempting to heal her. Instead, he attacks Tom from the back with Meduiak. Battle Order! Vindsval Miderun Bobby Benji
-
"Alright, I'll take care of the lady and the rest of you can beat up the child-beater..." Battle Order Benji Vindsval Bobby Miderun Benji attacks Flora Zent from the back row, with Meduiak. OoC: Is the enemy's level equal to 12 or attacker*2??

Leave it to Sandy

"I say we take them back. We'll let the locals take care of abusive cheating fellows. Although i wouldn't mind putting an arrow or three through his throat." Benji looks cunningly at the teen lover, and then the cheating lady. "If you don't come back with us now, I'm afraid that we'll have to use force. Violence is always a viable option, as my paps always would say. He. He. He." He starts breaking down into a coughing fit for a bit until he finally recovers his stability. He glares at the other heroes, hoping to reverse any possible sympathy.

What do you guys think? Sylvian Ranger or Prophet? Which one is more powerful, in your opinion? Obviously the Prophet is very adaptible and has a lot more choices, but the whole taming thing of the Sylvian Ranger is very intriguing. Benji will probably gain access to both at a similar time so I'm interested to hear y'all's opinions
-
Benji looks at the three. 'They didn't just get lost, they're escapibg the situation. They're not wanna come back with us.' Benji thinks to himself and doesn't verbalize any of his thoughts.
-
"Hey, where in the name of Azazot do YOU think you're going? You have people back there worried sick about you! We're heroes, from Eubric, and we've been hired to investigate the whole monochromization issue, and as a side job they had us keep an eye out for you folk. Now whatcha think you're doing with that teensy little boaty thing?" Benji kept a firm stance but tried to avoid complete aggresion, knowing that intimidation would be better saved for later.
-
"Before we go, could we acquire a map of the island? It would prove useful in our work here..." OoC: Generally when the party leader says to go, that means they're gonna go and you should move it along

You've had to have a Yahoo account for, like, forever, in order to have a Flickr account, i dunno how you can sign in otherwise
-
Or get 1TB of space on Flickr... For free
-
"Alright then. Let's go look for the Zents. We can't let these people's lives be at risk."
-
"Don't worry fellows, we'll help both of you out. But first we should investigate the disappearing colors... Before it gets worse"
-
Hope so Also, I (and in extension Benji) really want to play decamon
-
"Yes, let's depart."
-
OoC: Sorry but before we depart I want to make sure that the inventories are correct, could you post the updated hero stats for the party? Benji looks at the half giant friendly. "It may be a tad small for you, but the tricorne should help protect you if we get into a fight. And we will, I promise you - this is Heroica, after all!"
-
In addition, Benji hands out his brown dragon girdle to Bobby, tricorne to the half-giant, and Puglist Gloves to Miderun. After looking them over, he gives a satisfied grunt. "With this equipment you all don't seem like such a sorry crew. We'll see if I can't make heroes out of you all! Ha! And they laughed at Benji Carvenhall!" Benji spits into the water and looks scornful as usual. He quickly added in a fast breath: "And don't forget to return this stuff at the end of the quest!"
