Thanks. Actually, I did'nt plan on making it dragonflyish, it merely happened along the way. Initially I just wanted to build a version of the 6887 "Allied Avenger" with only modern day parts and an updated design. Some of the characteristics of the new parts forced me to redesign some aspects of the ship, most notably the size. The hinges on the dome canopies (the only suitable replacement of the old octagonal canopies I could find) for instance are of the locking/clicking type and need extra stengthening on the clutch. Thus I had to make the cockpit wider and taller and to keep the scale the whole ship had to become bigger. That, on the other hand, enabled lots of possiblities for streamlining, more details, additions, functions, etc... The end result is the "Dragonfly", by the way my first post dark age MOC. Will do, will do.

This is a really nice ship you created there, 'workfromtheheart'. I really like the wings and the cockpit is also very well made. However, i'm not so keen on the thruster wheels on the stern. Somehow the idea of attaching bricks only with rubber bands doesn't feel right to me. But as a whole, this is a really nice design. Where did you get the chrome 1x1 round plates? They are great.

I'm halfway through "Lucky Starr and the Moons of Jupiter", the fifth of the six Lucky Starr books by Isaac Asimov. The next will be "Lucky Starr and the Rings of Saturn".

Hello Everyone. I'd like to share with you my latest MOC, the RS-41 "Dragonfly" The "Dragonfly" is a surveillance and reconnaissance spacecraft used by the Free Planets Alliance Forces. It was developed by Experimental Design Bureau 51 "Yang" (location classified) and is produced by EL Facil Small Craft on El Facil and Anaheim Electronics on various locations. The RS-41 is powered by a Mr. Fusion FR-009 nuclear fusion reactor and propelled by seven Korolev IE-7 ion engines for spaceflight and two General Engines JE55A4 jet engines for atmospheric operations. Although it is designed for atmospheric conditions, the RS-41 cannot enter planetary atmospheres by itself, but has to rely on other means of transportation. When in full operational mode, the antenna mast is raised and the three dishes are aligned as needed. The two big main antennaes can point to almost any direction. On non-atmospheric conditions, as in space, on planetoids or moons etc., both mobile and stationary operation is possible, however on atmospheric conditions only stationary operation is possible. The cockpit can detach from the main hull in emergencies or when the pilot/operator wants to return to a nearby supply base or ship. When left by the operator, the RS-41 is controlled by an AI of classified abilities. However, autonomous operation of the RS-41 is only advised when it is stationed on any kind of celestial body (planets, moons, asteroids, etc.), in a stable orbit or at a Lagrangian Point. There are more pics on my Brickshelf Update: Now with LDD4 file. Download it here: firefly.lxf Had to make some adjustments on the engine, for LDD does not allow for certain connections, it seems. Comments and critiques are very welcome.

And another Indiana Jones set: 7198 "Fighter Plane Attack". This completes my classic Indy movies collection. Oh, and four more series 2 Minifigs: Pop Star, Skier, Ringmaster and Lifeguard
-
Two more Indiana Jones Sets for me today: 7199 "The Temple of Doom" and 7682 "Shanghai Chase". I also bought my first three of the Minifigures Series 2: Witch, Karate Guy and Mime.

Today I purchased 7197 "Venice Canal Chase", 8396 "Soldier's Arsenal" and 8397 "Pirate Survival" at a local TRU. The two Pirates sets (8396, 8397) will most likely go to my slowly growing MISB collection.

Yay, more Atlantis. Thanks for that info, Klaus-Dieter. I really love Atlantis and I'm looking forward to this temple structure and all the new vehicles. With this, together with the new Minifigure Series 3 and 4 and the Space-themed City sets you told us about in the other threads, next year will be awesome (and expensive) LEGO-wise.

Nice review. Although I already have the set for quite some time, your review almost makes me want another one.

This is a really great MOC. Using technic bricks with axleholes to simulate stars is pure genius
-
Not today, but yesterday I purchased the 8077 "Atlantis Exploration HQ", the 7953 "Court Jester" and the 7955 "Wizard" for a 20% discount each at a local Toys-R-Us.

Thank you for that nice review. It makes me want this set even more. I think that it looks better as a lab, too. -
This is way better than before. It's a really nice little sofa. I like it

Well, I'd really like to say something about your MOC, but unfortunately your pictures are very blurry. If you need help with photographing your LEGOs I'd like to refer you to some tutorials here. They were a great help for me. Oh, and welcome to Eurobricks

Hello Everyone. I made a small comic with 6241 "Loot Island" in anaglyphic 3D. This means you need red-cyan-3D-glasses to fully enjoy it, but also works without them, except that it's a bit blurry. Click on the images for HiRes-versions (Warning: each is about 1MB!) Have fun. The watch prepares for lunch, but there's a redcoat silently approaching. "Watch out. We're under attack" "Arrrh! No worry. I'll take care of him." - "Where's my pistol?" "Arrrh!" - "Damn! Can't get a straight shot!" "Gotta get closer." - *click* *click* - "What's this?" "Oh no! Forgot to load my pistol!" *Chomp* - "Aaaah! Somethings biting me!" - "Harrr! Now I got ya!" "Aaaaah! Noooo!" - "Arrrh! Serves you right!" "Bon appétit!" - *munch, munch* - "Arrrh! Now I'm hungry!" "Arrrh! I love roasted fish." - "Wanna head or tail?" The End! I hope you liked it and comments are very welcome.

Got me the 8402 "Sports Car" today.

I only collect Atlantis and the Collectable Minifigures at the moment but I also like City and if there is set that appeals to me, I buy it. But I wouldn't say that I collect City in the sense that I have to have a complete collection. I did collect and complete Mars Mission, Agents and the latest Pirates and although Indiana Jones ended my dark ages, I only managed to complete the "Raiders of the Lost Ark" line and then lost interest in the theme. In my pre-dark ages-era I tried to collect M:Tron and Blacktron II but only got a few sets. Completetd them only recently thanks to a well known online auction platform.

Wow, great MOC. I like all those details, especially underground. The guy sleeping on the bench, that punk spraying the wall and there is even a rat. But wait, the guitar, it's made of arms!

Great review and an interesting set. Btw. the 1x2 keyboard tile is also featured in 10213 "Shuttle Adventure".

Today I finally finished my collection of the first wave of the Atlantis sets with 8075 "Neptune Carrier".
