I used black levers with gray base and I think it still looks awesome but I will have to keep an eye out for replacement levers as I order more items from bricklink.

I like the engine mods you made. I am currently working on fixing the flat bottom but am waiting for LEGO to restock the stock of wedge plates. Thank you for sharing and I plan to incorporate some of your ideas into my model.

I just finished my Falcon. It is a custom as I replaced some parts in the interior and used a bit of old gray bricks to give the ship a used look. I loved the build and sourcing the parts. If you are interested check out my build video on my Youtube channel modsbytweek. If anyone is thinking of building this set I suggest you pick up the more costly parts now before the price increases to much more.

Hello, fellow builders. I am so happy to join this community. I have watched from afar for some time now; add I thought it was time to join. I am an AFOL that came out of his dark ages and have been enjoyed playing this these little plastic bricks once again. I maintain a YouTube channel called "modsbytweek" that shows my current projects including stop motion builds and instructions or modding OEM sets for more playability.

I can't wait to do something similar with my custom Falcon that I am working on bricklinking. This looks like the best way to display this set when you are limited on space.

This thread has inspired me to undertake this quest. I currently have 70% of the bricks required to construct the 10179 UCS Millennium Falcon. I am just waiting on one brickLink order and my build can begin. This is the biggest set I have ever brickLinked and I must say that I have enjoyed the process with the exception of the postal service losing a package. I'm looking forward to spending Christmas vacation constructing this master piece.
